I screwed a few women immediately after the breakup but after that 1 year period I haven't dated since. Being over 40 when divorced certainly helps. I have the kids, I have the life. Other than the occasional fit of horniness there isn't much drawing me to dating anymore. Financially I'm on a 10 year retirement track even post-divorce so why mess with that?

I'm married and no plans to divorce but I can say it's something that I will never do again in this life or any other life.

The opportunities that I've missed or sacrificed for my marriage I've lost count of. The life I live is good, I have to say that but it's good because I've had to always be the one prepared to leave first, to always be the one more prepared to end it.

And I want you all to think about that, I only have a good life because I work very hard to protect myself against the things that can derail it, I cannot ever settle and enjoy my life because I have to maintain the state that I can and will walk away.

I know where I fucked up in my marriage. I know what red flags to look for in a partner.

I think I can try again, when I find the right woman, whom I will screen very carefully.

Also, a prenup is 100% required. If she doesn't understand that, then she doesn't understand me, and it's not gonna work.

I was married for almost 10 years, then divorced for ~12 years, now married again for 12+ years. I'm still very happy with my current marriage. It was an amazingly good choice.

I was married for 25 years, together over 30. Once is enough for me. Been divorced over 12 years now. I’ve dated a little, but I’m not really interested in putting in the effort to have a relationship.

I think a lot of people feel that way right after a divorce. I certainly do. I'm curious how many people feel that way five or ten years after a divorce. That would be more telling.

I will never sign the government contract again. Rings and vows, maybe someday. But the government contract is fundamentally broken and offers nothing but risk with zero benefits for most men.

I believe in love, I just don't need the state involved to honor that love.

Separated 8 years, divorced 6 and haven't even talked to a woman since. Kids are a little older now so i may consider dating but I wont ever marry again. My kids will always be my top priority.

Yeah, can’t risk the future of my kids stability to some vindictive or conniving individual. Also, zero interest and it has been about 4 years into this process. Not done yet and not even really contentious, but have such a lack of drive in that area alone that I can’t be bothered.

Yep one was enough for me. I noped out of marriage Not women but marriage can kiss it. 13 years of learning with her. She learned jack. Had to teach her everyday was exhausting. PhD school soon. I'm balls deep ready. The fact that she could wipe herself was high IQ.

I feel the same. Worked 25 years to build my business and prepare for a family. Narcissistic wife destroyed the marriage after 5 years and everything else I had built out of pure selfishness. Not worth it.
