Happy Sunday fellas, divorce sucks but what's one thing you're looking forward to this week?

Dear Diary,

This week I hit three solid barbell workouts, two 10km run PR's and a 20km hike. I shaved, cut my hair, dressed well. I went out to the pub alone and read a book. I played sports with some friends. My little girl told me that she misses me when she's at mummy's house.

I have arranged to go camping next weekend, and this weekend I'm having a BBQ at my place for my girls and their kid friends, and some neighbours.

I'm making progress to be the best man I can be for my friends and my family.

Would love a social life but 2 jobs, single dad, women see the divorced word and I’m 47 and they can’t run away fast enough. All my friends have gone have families and jobs, been this way 12 years since the divorce can’t really get away from it all at night bcuz of the sleep apnea so the time with my son is about the only joy there is

Been working 60-70hrs, sleeping 5hrs, I wish I had some sort of social life. But my bday is coming up and I haven’t had two days off in a row in probably 5-6 months and I’m going to try to get off. Do something fun.

Just took my oldest to a four day metal festival. Got her on the rail in the pit to see Megadeth, her favorite band. So, as a dad, I feel great. My body, meh, not so much. Lol

I’ve been going on new treks almost every other weekend…sometimes solo, sometimes with a whole group. This weekend’s trek even includes rappelling, so I’m pretty excited for it.

I took my son to a play place he loves. We got unlimited passes and stayed there for eight hours. And I loved every second of it :-). As did he.

Im settling into my fitness routine well, and people have been noticing results. Me confidence and over all outlook for the future is improving.

I've started talking to some women. Keeping things slow moving. It doesn't really bother me to think about my ex any more.

I’m looking forward to getting a haircut next weekend. Also, the papers should be drafted up for me to finally hand them over to her so we can formally start the process. She also has to go into the office Tuesday and Wednesday so at least those are guaranteed peaceful days.
