one thing I didn't like about the Louis Theroux doc and the responses to it is people acting like there's no way that women would consent to one-way monogamous relationships.

What in the doc made you think they were saying that no women would consent to one-way monogamy? It seemed like he pressed the issue to see if the claim was true with respect to that particular couple and it seemed, at least for Myron, that both people in the relationship weren't necessarily on the same page

But you are certainly not in a majority. And the whole manosphere opposition is because they are trying to make other men be like them. Their whole schtick is that they are successful because of how they treat women. But that’s not the case at all. Sure, women like you exist but if a man expected me to bend to that situation, I would tell him to fuck right off. So they are trying to make young guys be these bolshy, fake alphas who DEMAND that women accept their terms. Relationships are not like that. Not even D/s relationships are like that. A Dom has to approach people like they are their own person and accept that the other person may or may not be submissive. They don’t demand the other person is, and when they do demand, it’s mostly goes very wrong for them.

There’s nothing wrong with that dynamic FOR YOU. But for the majority of us, it is.

i'm mean i can't argue there's something inherently wrong with one way monogamy, but something not being wrong doesn't mean people have to like it or want it.

it just rub people the wrong way because often more than not these relationships either don't last or can make the monogamous party feel sad, i mean myron's gf did end up leaving. so yea it's not like he's showing us how it work.

for example is there anything inherently wrong with dating prisoners? they're human and doing their time, everyone deserve second chances.

that also doesn't mean it's the best idea to date criminals because patters exist, but still nothing inherently wrong with it.

I’m perfectly capable of doing this, but I wouldn’t fully recommend it. Desire is a cornerstone of a relationship. If your partner doesn’t even seem enthusiastic about only having sex with you in the beginning, then I don’t think there’s any way it’s going to last long term.

Now, if one partner in any couple enjoys watching and the other partner enjoys providing the viewing experience. Who cares? Personally I don’t see why there is an emphasis on grilling people who are into this cause at the end of the day, they’re engaging in something they, their partners and the other people involved consented to and all enjoy.

The problem isn't one way monogamy. The problem is framing it as gendered nature rather than a consensual choice or a kink. That's what most normal people are against. I hardly think anyone actually has issues with cuckolds and cuckqueans.

The vast majority of people do NOT have this kink so it is statistically correct to assume they won't be ok with one sided monogamy.

Yeah, they already addressed this in the doc.

Nobody cares.

I did think it was funny Justin presented it as "one way monogamy" and then acknowledged this his partner has sex with women in threesomes. It was actually funny to see multiple women expose these guys presenting these hypermasculine "my way or the highway" relationships as bullshit.
