Hillary 2016: why all men should be concerned

There are many politicians, both men and women, whom I admire, and many others, both men and women, whom I hold in contempt.

This campaign image of Hillary Clinton, however, truly frightens me - not because she's a woman, but because of the statements she has made over the years.

Hillary Clinton is considered the leading Democratic candidate for 2016. If she is elected, she might not ruin things completely, but she will make the situation truly bad for men (and probably women too) in America.

Why?

She is a feminist.

• 2014: She defined being a "feminist" as favoring equal rights for women, adding, "I don't see anything controversial about that at all." She told those who think of feminism as a relic from the past: "I don't think you've lived long enough." We all know that the dictionary definition of feminism has nothing to do with what it actually stands for.
• We all know that feminists believe in the patriarchy and that women always have it worse, and that new laws and regulations are needed to fix it. These laws tend to transfer wealth from men to women, and they also tend to put men in jail - see the VAWA law as an example.
• 2014: She promotes the elimination of the wage gap, even though it has been thoroughly debunked: "Ask yourself why ... we still act as if it's 1955," Clinton said. "The fact that women still get paid less than men for the same work costs them and their families thousands of dollars every year."

She thinks men are disposable.

• 1998: You've probably heard this one before: "Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. Women often have to flee from the only homes they have ever known. Women are often the refugees from conflict and sometimes, more frequently in today’s warfare, victims. Women are often left with the responsibility, alone, of raising the children." So sure, the women have it pretty bad, but it is inexcusable that, in a prepared speech, she forgot that men are giving up their lives in war.

She believes in the expansion of government.

• 2007: "I have a million ideas. The country can't afford them all." It sounds like her ideas are ones that will expand the government budget and influence in our lives rather then reduce it. Government expansion is not always bad, but how do you think she'll use this expanded government size? Does she believe that any aspect of government is too big or imposing?
• 1993: “No. We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices … Government has to make those choices for people.” (Note that this quote might not be 100% accurate since it was relayed by Republican Dennis Hastert during negotiations for bipartisan health care reform, but it makes sense in the context of the debate they were having.)
• 2014: "Don’t let anybody tell you that...it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs." Who besides corporations and businesses creates jobs? Government.
• As The Spearhead aptly said, "Feminism loves heavy state subsidization like mold loves moisture."

She has not accomplished anything of note during her tenure as Secretary of State.

• 2014: When Sawyer asked Clinton to detail a marquee accomplishment or signature doctrine as secretary, she gave no answer — an exchange her Republican critics immediately highlighted.
• She also flubbed the same question two months ago, showing that she had time to prepare for it.
