My guess would be that the men who consistently pay for escorts do so more to maintain control and eliminate the emotional parts of a relationship that come with being human. You don't have to worry if an escort likes you, they will be available on schedule and you basically know how the night will end. As long as you pay there is no uncertainty. Non-escort relationships involve ups and down, mixed messages, testing and uncertainty. To a purely logical mind, those things are inefficient when you can control your environment. If this is all you ever know, the value of genuine attraction becomes insignificant until you run out of money.

Most women aren't that good at being companions. Women are people and people are full of flaws. An escort will be attractive and she will have whatever personality traits you want her to have. Do you want someone attentive who listens? She will do that. Want someone dominant? She will do that.
