Yes, I’ve wrestled all my life. It’s a fact of the game that you intimidate your opponent and beat them with physicality and technique. And yes, many times I feared for my safety. Interestingly, even when I was 10 years old and women were stronger than me, I wasn’t afraid of women.

Last time I lost my temper I threw laundry all drunken face. I’ve witnessed many women lose their temper and in my experience they are more prone to violence in this situation. Their capacity for violence is just lower.

Men are far stronger than women, no idea how anyone could argue this. An average 6 foot bloke walking down the street would easily overpower an Olympic athlete who was a women in a raw fight. I remember there being a lot of fights between my mother and father when I was toddler to pre-K age, but I may have repressed the hell out of it so I cannot remember for certain. No one deserves physical violence unless they initiated it first.
As far as I know, no cops but perhaps many threats to call the police on the part of my mother.
Only one time. The assailant was actually another woman. I don't know the circumstances, but one was a mother so children may have been involved. I did not intervene, and their relatives broke up the fight.
By power, the average man will have more coming into a fight, BUT what I've noticed (from footage) is that when men fight they will swing for the head or go for a takedown. When women fight, they will use anything to their advantage (ex. hair grabbing, biting) and single out sensitive areas like the eyes and groin. That's not to say men don't do this as well, but traditionally, men don't resort to these tactics as they are seen as "cheap shots". In my opinion, a lot of how much damage a man or woman inflicts is due to motive. If you're fighting to put someone in their place, you will use "honorable" tactics since defeating someone by fighting dirty sacrifices whatever righteousness you feel you have. If you're fighting to save your life though, I can see men singling out sensitive areas but being a little rusty about it. When men get into fights, usually it's "I wanna teach this guy a lesson" and not "I wanna blind/kill this person", so men will have to remind themselves how to fight dirty mid-fight if they're fighting for their lives. In fact, a lot of militaries invest a lot of training time to re-teach men how to fight to survive because the honorable way of fighting only gets you killed when it really matters. I digress, but basically, men will prefer to use power and submission techniques in a fight whereas women will go with disabling (ex. eye-gouging) and pain-maximizing techniques (ex. kicking the shins). Just to note, I am not saying that it's wrong to fight dirty, merely noting differences. Likely women prefer less "honorable" disabling and pain-maximizing techniques because it makes up for what they lack in power. As for the car example, depending on how they are hit, one sex may or may not be at a disadvantage. Higher body fat percentage and greater flexibility for women might protect them after the strike from follow-up fall injuries and fractures.Higher bone density would protect men from the initial hit, but their denser and generally less flexible bodies can prove to be a vulnerability per "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" hypothesis. Usually though, when talking about vehicle strikes it is likely that anything that will mess up a man will also mess up a woman and vice versa. It's sorta like asking if men are more bulletproof than women. Maybe, but that bullet is still gonna wreck.

I rarely get angry, but last time I lost my temper was a few years ago when I went off on my female friends about them relying on basically my free labor instead of professional movers or their boyfriends/FWBs to help them move out. At the time, I was unemployed, so I helped whenever I could because I felt guilty about saying "No" when I had all this time, but I got very peeved when they called me up last minute to tell me they got a moving van from 10am-5pm and said they need to move a whole room of stuff. I hesitantly went over but got very angry when one of them wasn't even there. She wouldn't even show up herself until 1pm. That was the last straw for me and I made an angry rant at the friend who was there, causing her to cry, and refused to lift a finger until the other friend got there. We got the stuff moved in time but after many hurt feelings. In retrospect, I could have handled that with better tact, but up till then, I basically did maybe $2000 worth of labor gratis (ie. helping move on multiple days, fixing their old place up so they could recoup their deposit, etc.) and I felt they were taking egregious advantage of my generosity. No hitting was involved of course, and I've seen both men and women lose it like this. It has either worked for them or it doesn't. I don't remember the outcomes clearly.

1) To be honest yeah I'm pretty sure my neighbors at some point got into violent fights.Cant be sure though if it was just shouting and a slap or anything more serious.Up close the most violence I've seen against women is a slap.

I saw a woman being punched by another woman. She was pregnant and was getting punched in her stomach. By the time I realized what was happening and was going to break up the fight, they had already quit.

I think men are definitely stronger but the dynamics between men and women often don't reflect that. Knives, guns, and other objects quickly change the balance of power here.

Actual data on domestic violence shows that men can be, and very often are, seriously injured by women. Male victims of domestic violence have fewer resources to turn to because there is an assumption that women don't ever hurt men, and that if they do, the man usually deserved it somehow.

It's not something really feel ever, or relate to at all. My dad growing up used to have a temper occasionally, but last time I remember anything with that was maybe 5 years ago. There was never physical violence, and he has improved very much over the years.
I'm a UMC white man born to an immigrant Armenian family. Most of my friends are MC or UMC working professionals.

I guess I definitely am a product of my environment, in that I never consider violence and would only engage in it if I was in a lot of danger.

Yes, men are typically stronger, and harder to hurt. I've been hit by an 18 wheeler (was in a truck) and only received superficial wounds. Was told my multiple people they expected me to be dead, or should have died.

Lost my temper once, I hit a guy for making fun of me. Felt kind of bad afterwards cuz he was not all there mentally.

When anyone is fighting, I try to break them up if I know them, and try to stay away if I don't. I'll help, but I ain't getting involved in situation without knowing the backstory.

I’ve been “hit” by maybe (4) people in my life. First, my father. So he tried to pin me on the floor and get me in an arm lock. So, I palmed the senior’s face, shoulder pressed him by the face into the air and slammed his whole body (head first) onto a cafeteria table. He was knocked out for like 20-30 seconds. THAT’s when the teachers rushed in to break things up. Kids slamming other kids into tables was the threshold. Fourth was when I was a senior. This kid got angry with me over soccer and punched me in the cheekbone next to my eye 👁 while he was wearing a metal watch. My eye started bleeding. So I pushed him to the floor as a “fuck off” warning. He got up and started trying to punch me again. I got a good chance to get a really quick and right hook in right to my right of where his chin ended and jaw started. His head bobbed like those bobble head dolls people have in their cars, and he just hit the ground. But for me to just spontaneously instigate violence or lose my temper and have that anger turn physical, never.

There have been various instances that resolved in different ways each time (or didn't resolve at all), but with friend/ family violence I've never seen the police involved (although that may be a Northern Irish Catholic bias). The police were called during a couple of domestic disputes between people in my family when I was younger but no women were involved.

I saw my dad hit my mom once. I don't know the full situation as I was kind of watching from down the hallway. As soon as I saw it, I ran in and restrained my dad. This is the only time I know of that there was violence from him, but I'd guess there is more that I didn't see. I saw my mom hit my dad quite often.

My sister branch swung from her loving beta bux husband to a straight alpha guy. It was toxic as fuck! They both abused each other.

With my mom, no.

With my sister, one night they were having it out and she called the cops and he went to jail for 3 months. He got out and they were back together. It was just as toxic afterwards.

No, I've never witnessed a woman on the receiving end of physical violence in public.

I did have a roommate that somehow was startled by his girlfriend and kind of jump-slapped her when they were drunk. A day later we had like 4 white knights show up at our apartment ready to kick our asses. We diffused without any violence.

Of course men are stronger and less prone to damage.

This is a meaningless question. Do you think small children are more prone to damage?? Why does society not look down at women's violence against children the same way we look down at men's violence against women? Women's violence towards children is way, way more common than men's violence towards women (or children), yet nobody seems bothered by women's violence to children.

My dad used to punch holes in walls. Yes, it made me very uncomfortable. No, I'm generally a pretty even tempered guy. It takes a lot to rile me up, and I've never wanted to use physical violence as an outlet.

Have you ever had someone scare you in that manner? Not manipulate or blackmail, but actually fear for your physical safety?

I can't think of any instances where I made anyone uncomfortable or where I was made to feel uncomfortable.

I haven't been in a fight since grade school.

The last time was probably 8 years ago with my ex. That woman knows exactly how to push my buttons. There was lots of yelling and screaming.

When I was 5 or so, I was in bed and woke to hearing my mother being beaten by my step father. I know she could antagonize, but didn't deserve it. It end after I saw her get a knife.

I've seen a woman hit in public by her male partner. Having been a cop, I did intervene.

Generally speaking, males are stronger when punching. As for taking a punch, men are less likely to show that it affects them.

As a cop, everything about you is meant to send an intimidating message. In my normal day to day life, I do not try to intimidate, other than to say "you're about to make a big mistake" to an aggressor ( while a bar bouncer). Otherwise, I am not aggressive or threatening at all.

Yes, I think she deserved it. She hit her boyfriend in the face cause he really didn't like to get out of the house, he called her a bitch while walking off. She then picks something up and he pushed her down. These were friends of a friend.
No cops and they broke up.
School fights most were girl vs girl only saw one boy vs girl. Didn't get involved let the teachers and their friends handle it.

I'm not someone who physically manifests anger. I seethe and fume, and then go home and imagine ways to destroy your life. Never any hitting things. I've known guys who were inclined to punch a wall or the like, but didn't bother me.
Afraid, no. Afraid is weird to have someone feel about you. I've only gotten there unexpectedly when I raised my voice to make a point, then backed off when I got a fear reaction. I do sometimes have a subtext to my words where I'm trying to imply, "What are you, nuts, saying/doing that to me? You know I'm holding back, right? I could crush you, and am choosing not to?" The worst I ever wind up doing is just saying something hurtful, never anything physical. On the flip side, I probably foolishly poke the bear when other guys are angry. "Yeah, great dude. You go with your bad self," just giving them no respect, seems to be my typical reaction.

My mother's mother, about 2-4 times per month. Seems she deserve it because she hit my mother's father harder, last year my mother even need to drive her father to hospital in midnight lol. However consider female on male violence is kind of common in my extended family, I think that's might just "part of the deal".

I have seen women get hit on rare occasions. Yes they deserved it. They either hit first, were being threatening or were being extremely disrespectful.
