I just watched an acquaintance of mine do this when texting his mom. He was getting a bunch of msgs, so I asked about it. He goes, "yeah I just kind of choose one thing to reply to and ignore the rest." They know what they're doing.

Not simple per se, just selfish AF. Why are men suddenly more “sophisticated and logical“ than women when it comes to something that involves power and money (being an engineer, CEO, world leader, or even just “head of the household”) but “simple creatures” or even animals when it comes to something that benefits only them (“uncontrollable” sexual harassment, cheating, porn addiction, and violence, being “inept” at simple house chores and childcare, being “unable” to answer a simple question)? Yeah, we know why.

I've noticed owners of businesses do this too, especially home repair e.g. plumbers, elect, lawn care, oil delivery, etc. They don't answer all of the questions. They might not respond at all and yet still want your business. I think it's laziness and carelessness. A man can hide behind "missing it" as if it was an honest mistake, but I think 99% of the time they know what they're doing.

I've noticed that in relationships guys do this as a way to lie by omission. Like if you ask "How are you? What did you do today?" they'll answer "I'm good, how are you?" while avoiding actually telling you about their day. Then when you repeat the second question because why wouldn't they tell you what they did that day unless they were doing something they shouldn't be, they act like you're unfairly interrogating them and it turns into a wHy DoNt YoU tRuSt Me argument. That's been my experience anyway 🙄 It's one of the biggest tells that he's up to some shit.
