Simple concept. As women advance, their dating pool shrinks. As men advance, their dating pool grows.

Its like women wearing high heels. In all countries, men are about 2 inches taller than the women. So women naturally like men at least 2 inches taller. But now that she wears high heels, she has cut out the men who are 2 inches taller.

This applies to everything: education, money, social status, fitness, etc. The better women do, the less options they have. And the successful men always want a woman who will mold her life around his own.

This is what Hypergamy is, and no amount of blooper extremist nurture over nature bullshit marxist ideology can get around basic biological instinct.

Nurture is ALWAYS built on top of Nature. Biology wins, and thus TRP which recognizes that biology is all built around pregnancy wins as well.

Historically speaking; the only way a woman could improve her lot in life was to marry up. Say aitch, use the correct fork and practice her company manners. It's multiple generations of convention and survival technique to get your head around. It's also nothing like what TRP calls hypergamy.

Yes. When I was in high school, I remember my friends being asked out by guys, and they would always say 'no, we only date the top 20%, sorry lmao." They would say that even if the they were obese. I look for a partner who is as smart or smarter than I am. And also a man who is more driven than I am. I don't need someone who has a wealthier family.

So I'd say that I am somewhat hypergamous: I want someone who will be more successful than I will. I am not unsuccessful, I work as an engineer, but I want more than that. I also want kids one day and I want to raise them. I don't want to work a 9-5 for the rest of my life and I want a partner who also aspires for more.

I think this is because I'd prefer to have more traditional gender roles once I have kids (though that's not anytime soon).

Well yeah, women are hypergamous by nature. I don't have any proof but it makes sense that they want men who have more value than she does. I just don't get why RP makes such a big deal of it, like it's a new thing. I always thought it was a given that not just women but people in general would be hypergamy-inclined. Guys are hypergamous too. The male version of hypergamy is wanting to date women more attractive than them. Because when you take things like personality and compatibility(which aren't really hypergame-related) out of the equation, a woman's look are what determine how high-quality a partner she is.

Since guys have always been hypergamous, is it really a stretch that women would be too?

The real issue with TRP is exaggerating the pervasiveness of hypergamy. Admittedly, after reading PPD for 2 months, I believe the TRP version of hypergamy (as Tomassi describes it) is slightly more real than I initially thought it to be.

This is largely due to me realizing the differences in point of view from people in various socioeconomic classes. As someone from UC upbringing and being able to afford a UMC lifestyle myself now in my mid-late 20s, and in a career path to UC pay, I can see why hypergamy doesn't seem like an issue.

As a fit UMC+ male without any physical deformations... there's simply not a whole lot of room for women to hypergamy over myself to. Wealthier guys tend to be older - and therefore likely physically less attractive, so there's no obvious "upward" trade from a fit UMC male. On the other side, males in the LMC/LC are easy pickings for women to "trade up" over since there are plenty MMC/UMC males to choose from who are also fit.

Just my view on the whole hypergamy issue as it relates to the "Pills."

I'm either gonna need scientific or personal evidence.

For a group of people who are primarily social science/liberal arts/humanities people, you lot seem to ask for "scientific" evidence for human behaviour as if there's a clear causal relationship as if we're simple objects.

Personal evidence is bizarre to ask for since people around here, whether you're red or blue, vilify you for using evidence. Some will even go as far as to say you are looking at it from a red/blue lens without looking at the full thing as it is.

For instance, the gold digger example you used "trash is trash" and that you "ain't seen any examples of hypergamy is real life" in itself highlights your mind is made up and you want definitive proof anyway. Likely so you can say it is false perhaps?

Yes, I'll get around to making a video on female hypergamy and opportunistic love one of these days. I'm putting it off, because its a lot of work giving people nervous breakdowns, and putting together all the evidence for this subject really is from a male perspective like building a more complete vision of hell, but it will be nice to point to as a more definitive answer for the question.

As for a short answer, there's 80/20 rule in online dating, women value masculine traits-- including more masculine faces in ovulation, sugar babies, Japanese birth rates and female income versus male in the younger age bracket, women can have better orgasms with richer men, Thinking-Ape's video on Neolithic Hypergamy, war brides, Chinas super rich widows "that can't find a man", women initiate 70% of divorce, women make up 80% of household spending.

Honestly if you can't figure out this is a real phenomena you're an idiot or you're avoiding a nervous breakdown. But I suppose in OP's case I'm additionally willing to think its one of the psychological effects of concealed ovulation which goes along with higher female in-group preference and predisposes her to an inability to be rational if the rational idea is unpopular.
