Simply put?

It takes a lot of resources to be in the top 20%.
People have other dreams which are not only sex and which require resources.
Men can be satisfied in the long run, men can be satisfied with somewhat little action.
Age affect men's value and your sex drive for the worse on the long run.
Being in the top gets tiring/not worth after a while.
Men can control their behavior even if they feel like otherwise.

The saying

“a man is only as faithful as his options.”

is untrue. The correct interpretation is

"A man's action is strongly related to what he consider the best option in any given market"

If faithfulness is the best option, or at least the least worse, in his view, he will probably follow it. To most men in the manosphere, their objective on the long run is usually to find a partner later in life or go their own way, because of that.

Because building a close relationship and sense of companionship with someone is really nice, and ultimately because worth more than novel sex for a lot of people.

But the way dating is described on many reddit subs, I'm not surprised this isn't a default thought. Most people seem obsessed with the transactional element of it, the "what can you bring to the table?" side of things, instead of sharing life/experiences with another human you bond with. Which is really weird to me.

Because most women have little to offer other than their intimacy. And I don't mean just sex but other physical things too. It's nice to have a women sleep in my bed and cuddle with and to give each other massages and watch Netflix. Go out to eat and just have a casual dating experience. The companionship is nice. Why on earth would I limit myself to only one women when I can do that with 10 or more women in a year? People get boring. I'm sure I bore some really top tier SMV women that had tons of options.

My take on having a bunch of a partners is that each women I become intimate with is like traveling to a new country and learning their language and culture. It's fun and rewarding, even if its just for a few weeks of months at a time. I thoroughly enjoy it and have no plans of getting in an LTR until my options start to run out.
