back when i was first getting into approaching women.

i would get all sorts of rejections.

everything of them ranging from being ignored to vaguely dismissive to downright rude. and all of those hurt. not so much anymore cos now idgaf but being in the frame of giving a fuck they hurt.

now many people could argue "omg it shouldn't hurt you approached her" or maybe they understand but that's beside the point.

cos guess what, there was a another type of rejection, a quite rare one, that actually made me feel BETTER for approaching, even thought IT WAS STILL A VERY CLEAR REJECTION.

this type was when i'd go introduce myself and she would let me know that she's not interested however she appreciated my effort of taking the time out to speak to her and she came across very genuine/kind.

in those times the girl quite literally said she's not interested in me however it didn't hurt at all cos she gave me that basic respect like "i'm not interested BUT i genuinely appreciate the complement, you're a cool guy".

and i think that highlights what a lot of guys really want, respect.

when i got that kind of rejection i just couldn't fault it. i mean what could you say. everyone isn't supposed to be attracted to everyone, and she was so respectful about it that you still feel better about doing it cos you were treated like you matter. not like you're some inconvenience or worse.

Edit: I would like to clarify that i'm not saying women should change their behaviour. i'm not saying it's wrong. i'm just saying that from my experiences of approaching, i learned that a girl giving you respect is almost more important than a girl giving you sex. i was something small to talk about a bigger idea.
