You've got it wrong.

It's not that women don't get horny sometimes. Sure it may only be a few days a month when they're ovulating, like 36 times a year, but that's not the point.

Women simply don't care about sex like men do. And from an evolutionary standpoint, they neither should, nor can.

If women craved sex like men, the human species would have died out. This is true in all animals. You can't have the female brood bearer being a seed sprayer, they have to be a sexual selector. By definition they have to be picky about sex and have no biological urge to pursue it except when beneficial for offspring reproduction.

All animals show this, if you carry the young, which we call "women", then they're the sexual selectors. It just is what it is.

Do women get horny? Sure. Do women like sex? Sure. Do women like sex? No.

Women like sex with someone they know or a partner, then it's fuck all day and night, for whatever motivation, but like men? No.

Women don't go out to fuck every day of the week. They don't hit up random guys on the street. They aren't stalking you and chasing your dick or acting in any way like men.

If women pursued and craved sex in anything even remotely comparable to a man, rape wouldn't be a crime. Society wouldn't be gynocentric. Everyone would be fucking, and the worst experience a woman would claim is "meh, he seemed hot, but the sex was boring."

But you don't see that in society, you see the opposite of that in society.

This proves to me that women are not as horny as guys because as a healthy decently good looking 25 year old male, if any women that is not extremely ugly and I mean extremely and doesn't have any physical deformities approached me in the street and asked for sex, I would accept her offer in a split second with no hesitation, and all of my male friends and associates agreed with me.

I'm a straight, 26 year old man, and I would not automatically accept an offer to have sex from some woman who approached me on the street, no matter how attractive she is. That sort of thing doesn't just happen out of the blue. It should make alarm bells go off in your head. If you're dumb enough to go off an be intimate with someone you'd said less than 10 words to, you deserve whatever sort of robbery/assault happens to you.

A woman approaching you in a club or at a party to go fuck somewhere like an alley or a bedoom upstairs is a little different, but even then, you gotta at least feel out the situation, flirt for a minute or two, etc. I say this as someone who has fucked a girl that just ran up and sat on my lap at a party.

The main, scientifically-proven reason most women are less horny than men is a simple one: endocrinology. Testosterone fuels libido in both men and women, but men have many times the amount than women do, like a power of ten or more.

Speaking for myself (cis woman), I know I get crazy horny about a week before my period because progesterone spikes at that point in the cycle. Some women get horny during ovulation when oestrogen spikes. Some never get horny at all or are horny all the time. It really just depends on the person.

Now, women choosing not to engage in spontaneous sex with complete strangers is more complicated. Demand has a role to play like you suggest, but there are so many other contributing factors like evolutionary programming, societal stigma, upbringing and safety. You could argue that there are women out there who are able to override or disregard these factors (e.g. prostitutes), but I think they’re the exception to the rule.

In this studies what was the definition of a attractive male. Men often overrate how attractive they are. Social setting matter only because their are some settings were it feel more social awkward than others for men to approach but I think even then if the guy is very good looking it wouldn’t make such a large difference. Also are you sure the reason that these women say that behavior is what is important to them may be so that they look less shallow than if they admitted that looks were what mattered. There is some truth to what you are saying women do seem want a guy that is pursuing them making the first move. But I feel that when you are good looking all your behavior will be perceived as attractive unless it is extremely bad.

Yes women are less horny than men in that way than men. For the most part we are not as dependent on porn and masturbating as men are, if at all. This makes us less desperate and irrationally impulsive. I think it comes down to not only our biology, but the fact that most of us have access to real life sex with attractive people (maybe not all women but a good amount) whenever we want it.

Risk/reward makes it really not worth it to have the random sex you mentioned. Describe it as women not being as horny if you want, it could also be described as the byproduct of men not needing to think. Men have a higher chance of orgasm with a new partner and a lower chance of being overpowered by them.

I’m a 30 year old woman. From puberty to my late twenties I think I got “horny” maybe a handful of times, when I saw a sex scene on tv or sometimes in my dreams. Never did anything about it.
