I think you’re assuming the style these BP women are talking about. They not saying men have to dress in yuppie clothing, they’re saying to just be stylish by understanding how clothing should fit. You can dress in a well fitting flannel and jeans and still be considered “stylish” by them

You’re also assuming every woman on there believes stylish to mean exactly the same thing. Your post is so odd, you just seem to be making excuses to just buying decent clothes.

Edit: I didn’t put this down, but clothing does not raise SMV. It will not make you physically attractive. But you still need it for RMV and you still need it for every day life

Women are talking about how the clothes fit and the condition of the clothes. I am all about a working class man wearing a pair of jeans cowboy boots and a nice fitting shirt. Bruce Springsteen was wearing tailored jeans and those white t shirt were designer not some Hanes action. He was not wearing off the rack in the 80s.

I think it's more about putting effort and thought into you physical appearance. You can be a punk with style, you can be emo with style. You can be preppy with style, or a redneck with style. Style just means that you care enough how you are perceived by others to do some work on how you look. It's the effort that counts.

Who said you can't be well-dressed in jeans and flannel? They have to be jeans that properly fit you with and are clean, and a flannel that's a flattering color and, again, the right size. Heck, I've been on the Team Style side of things, and have been talking about subcultural styles, like punk or hipster or whatever.

It sounds like you're trying to accuse BP women of classism, while being classist enough to think that "dressing appealingly and with style" means "dressing like you're going yachting."

I am mostly right wing (except for drugs) but i'm really into fashion and expressing my personality through clothes so am interested in men who are too. Me and bae look totally extra every single day and we get loads of stares and compliments

If you're naturally ugly, you can stand out if you dress cool and have your own style. It's one of the first things I notice about someone

I think its also a way of relating to people. If you are wearing vintage clothes or a cool band tshirt i am more likely to strike up a conversation with you

There's so much wrong in this post that it's honestly a work of art. I'll do my best to debunk main errors but I fear I have to be brief in some sections simply due to the magnitude of all the things wrong.

But at the same time they make surprising suggestions like "men should dress better and spend more time and money with their clothes" which to me sounds like "men should be more stylish and not dress like working class slobs"

I've never before seen someone attack strawman the same time they admit they're just using a strawman. Impressive, mental gymnastics on that one must've been amazing.

I understand that contemporary left is no longer about supporting workers' rights and more about identity politics or preferred pronouns and that would explain why BP women prefer a preppie/yuppie dress code instead of a manly 1980s Bruce Springsteen apparel with flannel shirt and worn out jeans

As trp uses multiple mutually contradictory definitions for "betas", and you're not really explaining context in which this advice is being given, who is giving it, or any such thing, I'm not sure it's possible to actually say anything interesting about that claim.

They're generally not the people who dress preppy, and if they do dress preppy that's just because they like it not because they expect others to. Dressing preppy correlates to conservatism.

There are not two distinct category of men that are alpha and beta. Many men have both alpha and beta traits and are somewhere in between. Advice about how to dress makes a guy somewhat more alpha than he was before, and this is desired by women. Of course, a guy who is very attractive/alpha already can wear whatever and he'll still be able to attract women for sex.

Winter = dark color flannel, jeans, and hiking boots.

Summer = Plain cotton tee (black, navy, or dark grey), cargo shorts, and sandals.

Don't see any need to get any fancier than that.
