If you'd asked me a year ago I would have said I'm ugly and look like a homeless person, in 2 days it will be the 1 year anniversary of my partner of 10 years coming home and saying he'd fucked atleast 20 other people.

Today though.. I'm full of confidence, I look like a women who has it all under control. I dye my hair regularly now so I look better from that, I wear nicer clothes, sometimes even show a little skin. So yeah, I look like a confident strong woman.

I feel like I'm very attractive but in unconventional ways. I realize I'm not everyones cup of tea but I'm always complimented on my looks/personal style. I used to feel like only artsy/geeky guys were into me but as I grow older I'm starting to get attention from different kinds of people.

Women, even the most beautiful ones, tend to focus on their flaws. And everybody's got some kind of flaw.

If I just go on what men say and how they react to me and general level of male attention, I guess I'm attractive. But personally I think my face is average and even a little weird looking.

We are WAY harder on ourselves than men are on themselves, that's for sure.

I’m not conventionally attractive and that’s fine by me. I don’t think conventional is all that attractive. I’m “exotic” (barf) but it’s true. I have an otherworldly quality that’s difficult to pin point and I’m incredibly captivating. My friends say I look like alien royalty and I find that suits me.

My personal view of my opinion will honestly swap from 6/10 to a 9/10 depending on the day.

I absolutely love my body, I'm short and athletic and I love the fact I can wear jeans and a baggy top or a really gorgeous red dress or a cute skirt and babydoll top and always feel gorgeous. You can tell something big when girls and women tell you "I love how you pull that dress off!" Or "that color top is perfect for your eyes!!". I think my fellow ladies are apart of why I love myself so much.

My face I usually will give a 10/10 when it's clear, but I have flare-ups that sometimes make me feel less attractive (especially since it's more difficult to clear up than acne) but then I take a few looks in the mirror and go "those icky spots didn't take away those gorgeous hazel eyes! And look at that smile!! And those cheeks?!?!? Yes baby you are a beauty!!!!" and my view of my looks goes right back to a 10/10 ♥

I’m moderately-to-very-attractive, depending on whether I give a shit about presentation that day. I clean up sharp as hell.

I will say that I look better than a whole lot of my friends do at 40. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen every day y’all. Between this and Retin-A I don’t have any wrinkles or pigmentation problems.

My physique and facial features aren't the contemporary kind of attractive, but check out some ancient Roman and Greek sculptures of women and you'll see my clones. When I bother to go the whole nine yards with makeup, hair, fancy clothes, etc., I'm definitely impressive and I have professional creatives complimenting and remembering me on my look.

I don't feel attractive a lot of the time, despite continued and consistent attraction and attention from my husband, and my feeling is mainly because I don't make occasions to put out that fancy effort as often any more. Gotta change that.

That's the line of thinking I expect from a guy who's interested in me and if he doesn't see me that way then it's over.

It doesn't matter how I look, dressed up or slumped down, a HVM in love sees his woman differently than the lower self biological imperative that LVMs are controlled by.

He sees my soul, my body and looks are just the bonus.

He has options, he could have anyone he wanted, but he loves all of me.

That's the only way that I think looks should factor in. Yes mutual attraction but there's a difference between attraction being the top of the list vs its respective place on the list.

I go back and forth. I don’t think I’m like, butt ugly, but i know I’m never like, the hottest girl in the room. I’ve been told I’m not hot, but I have a quality that sets me apart from conventionally hot girls, which feels pretty good. My bf will always say that I’m the most beautiful woman in any given room though, which also feels pretty good and while he’s not the end all and be all of my self esteem, it’s a good reminder when I’m feeling down about my appearance.

I don’t feel like I need to be hot though because there’s a good chance I’m one of the more intelligent in the room. I’m described as more “cute” than conventionally hot, which can be frustrating because I just turned 30, but I make it work.

I was bullied as a kid and teen so I never believe people (male and female) when they tell me I'm beautiful, hot, sexy or whatever. My train of thought is generally "how could they possibly think that?!" whenever I get a compliment. But then every so often there will be a really good pic of me and I'm like, wow, maybe they're not lying or just being nice.

Beauty and attractiveness are all relative anyway. The right person will find me attractive through and through so while I certainly put effort in, I try not to focus on appearances too much.

By most people’s standards I’m beautiful. I don’t admit it though out of humility and also because I’m a very shy person.

But people are not going to be happy either way as to how you describe yourself. People get upset, accuse me of lying, and say that I’m fishing for compliments by downplaying my looks when I say “I’m a somewhat attractive girl”. Yet while I’ve never actually called myself beautiful, I probably wouldn’t because perceived cockiness is more likely to display me as cocky and encourage them to fish for flaws in my appearance.

Most people I know tell me that I'm very attractive. I'm in shape, I have an hourglass figure, and I take good care of myself. I have high cheekbones, almond shaped eyes, full lips, long curly hair, and I'm tan.

Honestly I love how I look. I like how I always look sunkissed, I like the wildness of my hair, I like the sharp angles of my face, I like the way my lips naturally pout. Sometimes I wish I was taller, but that's just because climbing on cupboards and counters isn't fun.

I know I'm definitely attractive but more so 'cute/pretty' because I look very young facially especially without makeup. I'm black African with medium-dark skin (think Gabbie Union or Justine Skye), natural hair, big expressive eyes, soft face and full lips. Damn, I'm gorgeous haha.

I was in hospital recovering from surgery one time and the doctor checking my charts was like "wow you're 30?? you look like an innocent teenager!" I've been told that I have good skin that will remain plump and slow to wrinkle as well. I used to hate having a baby-face but now that I'm older, I've come to love it.

I've come to accept my body type too: petite/'slim-thick' but athletic with nice muscle tone (especially in my glutes and hammies!) even at a borderline overweight BMI for my height (145lbs @ 163 cm/ 5'4). I lift 5x a week (you can check my post history) and I'm generally active.

Not to sound conceited but I'm a snack. My confidence has absolutely skyrocketed over the years, I know that I radiate "you can't fuck with me" type of energy and I love it. I know what I will and will not accept from relationships (both platonic and romantic) and it's absolutely freeing especially as a black woman (the vetting process is even more complicated when it comes to race).

After years of dealing with debilitating depression, anxiety and unhealthy coping mechanisms, I've also come to be more gentle with myself.

I'm not very attractive. I could be considered hot if I got fit and wore better clothes.

My weight is probably the biggest issue because it's caused a pot belly and bit of a double chin which takes a lot away from my appearance. I've got decent boobs and butt. My bf says my butt defies gravity.

My face has been described as pretty/beautiful but the biggest flaw would be having very deep set hooded eyes, they look nice with makeup though. I have a small nose but it's not the trendy pointy type, more round and slightly upturned. I have big lips naturally, high cheek bones, shapely eyebrows, a sort of striking/intense eye colour, ok skin, people say they thought I was a lot younger than I am. I have very long blonde wavy hair that has a fair bit of body.

I've been told I look a lot like Claudia Schiffer, Amy Adams and Nicole Kidman when she was in practical magic. But obviously.. a fatter version.

Atm I'd say I'm a... 4/10. With weight loss and a bit more effort I'd be a 6/7.

I used to make my low self esteem super obvious. Men I’m sure picked up on it .... Now I try very hard to hide my insecurities as I don’t feel it empowers me in any way to others. Also it’s a bit of a mind game for myself to try not to focus on it as much. It’s not my obligation to be pretty all the time 🤡

I'm trying to be more confident in my looks. I've been approached randomly a couple of times to model for photos. I like my body proportions but there's always room for improvement. I'm happy that a lot of people will ask if I'm russian or swedish, they tend to have some good looking blonde ladies I guess. Exotic Eurasian, beautiful face with a stunning smile, shiny long hair and a slender/fit/petite body. People stare at me a lot which can be irritating at times when I’m trying to go about my life inconspicuously. I was self-conscious yet naive about my appearance and never understood why people were “strange” to me until I grew up and realised I have a distinctive look and charisma that draws attention even when I’m not really looking for it. I am more confident in myself as I age and embrace individuality and femininity. Hopefully that energy will radiate outwards and help me age gracefully.

I really struggle with this one because I, honestly, find myself really attractive. I think it surprises people that I don’t suffer from the “she doesn’t know she’s beautiful” stereotype. I know that I’m not ugly but I’m also short and chubby. I rarely wear makeup, I don’t shave often, I wear glasses every day, and I have a weird sense of fashion.

I have been called beautiful by multiple men. I have been told that I’m too pretty to be a model (something that when I was thinner I expressed interest in becoming). I’ve also been told by several men that I’m intimidating and weird.

I feel like I am the epitome of the “before” in those teen movies where the “ugly” girl takes off her glasses and is suddenly hot. If I lost 30 pounds, put on heels instead of flats, wore makeup, and dressed conventionally more men would find me attractive. But I like myself enough as is to not bother with those things.

I used to assume I was ugly because of how people treated me (not realizing that being attractive can attract abuse) then saw myself in a few photos and realized I stood out more than most other people - colouring, intensity of personality - even though I don't have the most classic of facial structures. At some point I realized that no matter what you look like, intelligence shows in the face and is attractive, so in that sense I was and still am pretty hot. And I still have beautiful eyes. (Yes, I know, everyone has nice eyes, but mine are nicer. They are!)

Lately I have tended to see myself as run down a lot because I often catch a glimpse of myself at bad angles, or when not animated, but I think I still look ok when I'm happy/distracted (if I happen to see myself in a mirror). Part of the problem is ageing, and weight gain and loss - I have no idea how to see myself as I age. Also I recently realized I have a fallen face and have taken to mewing (already seeing a small improvement), so am focussed on areas of improvement.

Overall, I have no idea how attractive I am. Like, no idea whatsoever. But I know I can improve my score by dressing better, mewing, and quitting junk food once and for all.

I’m hot and now I know it. I’m in my mid 20s and I take care of myself. I have a decent haircut, skincare routine and I dress professionally these days. I’ve always been told that I was “pretty” but I didn’t start believing it until I gained some confidence (thanks FDS). I’m pretty enough to get free coffees when I go out and I have women and men telling me, so I guess that’s something? I’d like to be a bit thinner I guess, but that’s something I’m always going back to. I go to the gym and have a BMI of 22. I’d like to get back to 20.5 if possible. The thing is, people find me more attractive when I know that I’m confident. Being charming and fun is half the game, the other half is standing up for yourself.

I think I have good basic facial bone structure and body shape (hourglassy) plus I keep fit and am generally healthy, but I am SO lazy about haircare, I keep it very short as it's very fine. This means I would describe my 'look' as a bit marmite - you either love it or hate it!

Also I'm 35 and I've got oily skin which I've only started taking care of recently, and my eyebrows consist of about 10 hairs...

Basically I can look great when I try, but honestly I'm really fucking lazy which doesn't help 🤣

I keep thinking about this 'feminine energy' everyone is going on about, and wondering if I have any 🤔

I'm smart as hell and funny as fuck though, so I don't really care all that much 🤷‍♀️
