If I had one word to describe my ideal woman it would be “ambitious”. Those are the women I’ve sought out and dated in the past. They’re usually very smart, accomplished, college educated and left leaning. But, they don’t seem to like my attitude when it comes to dating. I’m not one of those guys who’s starved for sex and female contact; its not as easy to get sex as it would be for the average woman, but It’s still pretty easy for me. the truth is I tried the whole “casual sex” thing multiple times and I didn’t like it. So now for the most part I only ever have sex with girls I can actually see myself dating. In the beginning, the women I’ve dated are thrilled to find out I value their individual accomplishments so much. But then they realize that means I don’t want the traditional role of being the provider. In my experience, they don’t seem to happy about this. I’ve been told by one partner that me paying for things is how she feels “like a girl”. In another instance I was on a date and she asked me how I would manage finances with someone I was dating. I told her I don’t want the traditional model of a relationship, I want us both to work so we have the money to have great experiences together. Her response was “but I’m a girl”. Now I’m still pretty young, 21, so my sample size isn’t very big, so that may be the issue, but I don’t think it is. Im also NOT asking the question “will these financially successful women date men who make less money than them?”. Edit: a lot of you are taking this as “I want to be a SAHD. Play Xbox and do nothing all day.” that is not the case. I want us both to work.
