NVM knew I wouldn’t have sex until we were exclusive, so he pushed and pushed for a relationship. I noticed his profile only said “looking for hookups” and could’ve sworn it said long term dating when we first matched. Because I don’t match with hookup-only guys. There's one scenario where this is actually a very valid strategy. If she's young, she may not have the experience and corresponding confidence to just block & delete even when her intuition is screaming it. Like how some ladies will have trouble leaving their cheating partner without them admitting to it, even if the signs are all there. It's not the best move possible, but sometimes it's better to have a "dumb test" like this to affirm your intuition so you can run, instead of giving the benefit of the doubt.

This is funny, and all that, but it’s gonna be a no from me. Here’s why: first of all, “tests” like that are abusive. Now I’m MUCH more willing to look the other way when women are doing this for vetting purposes, but I want women to be aware of one thing: do not let men do silly little “tests” on you. If a man “forgets” his wallet and then was checking to see your reaction to check if you’re a “gold digger” (I’ve had two men try this), this is actually emotionally abusive by definition.
