Attractive escorts for women, spread by word of mouth amongst the elite, were featured in an episode from one of the scandinavian TV series like "The Bridge" about 7 years ago, so it has been happening for a while; however I don't recall an episode dealing with female escorts.

Sweden seems to have a warped view of prostitution in that they are apparently trying to stop taking advantage of women and sex trafficking by making it illegal to buy sex (ie coerce with money) but not for someone to choose to sell their body. However, it's effectively a ban on prostitution, since someone has to buy in order to sell.

Sweden has what's known as the "Nordic Model", it's a type of criminalisation of sexwork which includes a number of laws in an attempt to eradicate sexwork(prostitution). These include making it illegal for sexworkers(prostitutes) to work together, illegal for landloards to rent property to sexworkers (which can result in them being evicted and can make it difficult for young women to find property to rent), and the law which is most talked about- illegal to buy sexual services.

Key points:

- The level of sex work on has not been reduced

- Sex work may now be more violent

- There is less funding and resources for Social Work now, because policing the law is so expensive

- In 13 years only TWO clients were convicted. Sex workers refuse to testify against their own clients which makes a conviction almost impossible.

France introduced the Nordic Model too, then over 10 sex workers were murdered in a 6-month period.

I can talk a bit about this.

So, Sweden uses a radical feminist approach to prostitution which is basically this:

All prostitution is forced

Therefore all prostitution is rape

They also hold the view that all foreign prostitutes are trafficked

Forget for a moment how dishonest, stupid and sexist this is. The law has had the opposite effect in the sense it's gone even further underground and prostitutes are now less safe than before.

Yet the feminists don't care as this was never about helping women but rather about hatred of men

a few countries make it prostitution legal, but make it illegal for third parties to profit from prostitution ... so instead of brothels and pimps, prostitutes can individually rent out rooms and work for themselves

Yes, the Swedish law is yet another point in the feminist agenda to discriminate men. They are a bit more "progressive than other European countries which also experience the decline of sex services due to the influence of feminists and the ecological totalitarians, such as no longer allowing prostitution in the streets. The prostitutes themselves protested such laws which are greatly harming their business and their safety, but the ecolos said they don't know what is good for them ... which is not to be prostitutes at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't what the article is talking about basically just a sensual message? I searched it up and yoni is just a form of erotic or tantra massage and has nothing to do with sex. Which I'm pretty sure is legal in Sweden.

I looked it up anyways, to double check, and was met with places in Sweden where you can get these massages, which don't seem to be limited to women as they have a few services directly targeted at men. As well as online forums of mostly men discussing and talking about their experiences with tantra and saying that its legal.

Also the article blatantly states that these women bought the services under the false pretense that it would heal any of their ailments, and not for sexual pleasure. Which is exactly what happened to a man in Halmstad, who got off scot-free. According to tingsrätten ''Mannen köpte massage - inte en tillfällig sexuell förbindelse.'' Please tell me if i got something wrong. ^^
