My company has an external hotline to call. You call and receive a reference number for follow up.

I had to call because my ex wife was stalking me at work. She was waiting outside my office building randomly to falsely claim an abuse story for our custody battle.

The problem is that you have to give enough information to be helpful in the investigation which gives away your identity.

It didn't protect me but just documented the extent my ex-wife was willing to go for a custody battle.

At the large state school I went to (think one of the biggest universities in the world), a girl could anonymously report sexual harassment/assault via a web app. That report was sent to the university police service, who would then be knocking down the door of the named male student. The student would also be quickly suspended and barred from campus as soon as the police notified the university that an investigation was ongoing.

I volunteered in the Student Legal Services office at the time and saw several young guys have their lives ruined by anonymous reports that never had to be substantiated. All you needed was a guy's name and you could ruin his life in less than five minutes. I've seen guys made homeless in the middle of finals week, unable to return to their dorms to collect their things for several weeks. One of the most disgusting and backwards systems I've ever seen.

My company has an in person anonymous reporting policy. Someone didn't like that I was bisexual and accused me of inappropriate physical contact with other guys. As well as asking guys if I could blow them. None of it was true. I still don't know who did it. So I just moved to another area and shift. Still not 100% who reported me. .

I've got HR's number now. Warned all my alphabet people that talking about being gay at my company is a good way to get written up. This shit is a new level though. I thought we settled it in 2012. Apparently not.

So they have created a platform that encourages saying extremely damaging things about people, with zero accountability what so ever. No name, no phone number, nothing. People complain about FaceBook harboring fake information, but this platform is the breeding ground for it because you only have things to gain by spreading false information and you have literally zero accountability by design.

I was watching a video earlier, and this feminist was talking with a man, in it they where debating back and fourth about rape, such as it being a culture, it not affecting men, systematic etc. When the man brought up a case where a women was proven and found guilty of falsely accusing a man of rape, the women could not admit that was bad. She even went as far as to say she was brave to say that because it can be a scary thing to say. That women thought this lier was brave for trying to ruin another persons life for their own personal gain.

As far as I've seen, this is less of a men's rights issue and more of a broader issue regarding the ease of false reporting and the lack of consequences people who do this receive. Sure, false accusations have been shown to harm men more with recent strides by the feminist movement to encourage the accepting of false accusations against men, but the only inherently sexist thing I see here is that they openly display that they're 'trusted by' Women Who Code (and imagine if there were a service like that for exclusively men). I may be wrong and there may be more to the issue that I don't see, but the app itself appears to be relatively unbiased by gender. I am simply more concerned about other ramifications for such a thing.

yes, a bunch of guys will lose their jobs. but this is good in the grands scheme of things. assuming those guys did nothing wrong and are competent human beings, and those who reported them are scheming cunts, then the company would start failing. it won't be able to hit its kpi's any more.
