Straight up insecurity and societal programming. She somehow has it in her head that because she values a lifestyle with cars and status and money, that it’s what you must value as well. Women today have no fucking clue that men just want respect, peace, and regular sex.

As many have said, women are just defective men now.

Sometimes it’s subtle, other times it’s obvious…does she lash out, withhold sex as punishment or leverage? These are toxic behaviors, not competition…learn the difference to protect yourself, your heart. My wife started subtle & at times (typically behind closed doors) became more overt then acted like nothing happened the next day. I’m out 1 full year now (prior 1yr separated) and I am just now feeling peace & conviction that she doesn’t deserve me and I didn’t deserve her abuse…I’m not a victim, I’m empowered! Good Luck❤️‍🩹

In Rich Cooper's audio book here's one of the things he says, paraphrased. A woman that is competitive with you may seem. ok at first, but it's a red flag. The problem is that she thinks she's better than you and a woman that thinks she's better than you will ultimately undermine you. Sounds like he was exactly right.

Why does she have any idea what you're upto? Limit what she knows, now! It is unfortunate but one must understand that your ex spouse is now your adversary for life - the courts will legally back her to bring you down.

I frequently tell mine that I am on the verge of bankruptcy and when I have our young daughter, it is in a trashy 1k/mo apartment. Meanwhile my income has increased nearly 100% since the divorce/separation and when I dont have our daughter, that apartment is essentially vacant.

There is a serious undercurrent in society where people honestly believe Women are Men's equals in all things.

BUT... Men bust the curve in business, industry and technology. All high growth areas with great wealth creation.

One dynamic of the boss b!tch wife type is that when they try and bust the curve somehow they come up short. THEN they want to somehow prove their accomplishments are just as good or at least minimize other's accomplishments.

This minimization (aka shade) behavior goes right at the hindbrain root motivations of a woman. Women learn and seem to have gender tendency to "tear down" rivals (in courtship this works very well against rival women for a mates attention). But... in the real world tearing down rivals usually stunts your progression in leadership roles.

Also many women just by default use woman to woman tactics (shade/teardown) - On any person they see as a rival even men. Now this is really just misused default behavior by a woman and while counter productive IS actually within normal behavior bounds.

But taking this to access and tearing down ANYONE using extreme mentally traumatic tactics on both male/female IS pathological and indicates a mental illness.

So yeah women are wired like this, default behavior and to excess indicates mental illness.

I definitely seen it with my exw. She has a mega competitive personality but I know it stems from huge insecurity and low self esteem. It also shows itself with her constant social media posting and need for dopamine hits from all those likes.

Unless someone gets therapy to deal with their issues, this is something that will only cause continuous issues. I now see it as a big red flag for any woman I now date.

The kicker for me was when I told my ex-wife that I got a new job with a great salary and that I would be able to take over paying for the health insurance. Instead of being happy for me and being grateful that the "pressure " of "having to carry the insurance " is off of her, she simply said, "Oh." That told me right then and there that she was not in my corner. I firmly believe that she was upset that I would be making more than her (and that includes half of her first ex-husband's pension that she pilfered from him). Her second failed marriage, and the second time, in as many marriages, that the husband has filed for divorce on her. My divorce will be finalized in 6 days!
