The article says Florida is one of seven states that has permanent alimony. So, most states don’t have that? I got the impression that after a certain period, permanent alimony is a given.

Women are empowered nowadays, they earn the majority of college degrees. There is no excuse whatsoever to pay an educated wife alimony if she chose to stay home.

Even though I am a conservative myself, their obsession with pushing marriage disgusts me. At this time, men who get married take an enormous L even if they don't get divorced.

I am more .. independent I think? There are things I definitely agree with on the right.. gun ownership (but not carrying guns around in public.. gees), less taxes, some level of border control (but not deporting every damn person that actually pays taxes and does the jobs most of us dont want to do), etc. There are common sense solutions to a lot of things that both the left and right go stupid extreme on.

I honestly don't know a good candidate.. I'd say Cheney.. but I am sure most republicans that are more Desantis/Trump would puke (and shoot me on sight) for thinking that. The left isn't any better.. Biden is our best shot.. he's not horrible.. but he's not great either. He is FAR better than Desantis or Trump isn't even in the same league as his scrotum.

I really wish we had better candidates on both sides. Damn country is so divided and so much anger and hatred all over.. really sucks.
