It's different but it's pretty easy to work on yourself and get to a point where you can find a good partner.

I’m 45. The majority of the younger women I’ve seen are vapid shells of a human on TikTok, fishing for likes. In short, I probably wouldn’t use them for a pump-n-dump. Certainly not wife material.

Im separated and after 4 months of searching and one friendship with a lady and I trip I realized she wasn't the one. Sent a message to a lady that I really wanted to connect with 2 months ago. Thursday i said hey I'm still interested if you are.

She responded and we have talked on the phone everyday since then and have basically put trust in one another to make something happen. We are so compatible that it makes me sick to think I'm this lucky but I deserve her.

I guess it just takes patients pain sorrow and healing to get through the hard times and look forward to the good ones.

Amen brother. I was married almost 14 years and got divorced in 2020 at 44.

Went back out into the wild - the dating scene only to see it as a wasteland of messed up women.

Met a girl, red flags galore, but she’s fun. Saw her Hinge inbox one day and she had no joke 30+ dms in one day.

Online and dating apps is only good for finding sex.

After my divorce I went on a dating app. The amount of 39 year old women who were single who were looking to "get married and have kids" was shocking. Like what have you been doing the past 19 years of your life? Oh right, eating up the feminist garbage.

Now I just focus on working out, my job, and friends and hobbies. And if i meet a girl here or there, great. If not, I won't stress about it.

If you do use an app I’m going to recommend OK Cupid answer 100+ of the questions honestly. And then don’t even look at peoples photos. Only swipe yes on someone who is a 98%+ match.

I’ve been in a casual but super caring monogam-ish situation with a woman for three years now. Important to meet my criteria that I’m not looking for a partner, and not looking for a step-mom for my kid, but I DO want a real connection.

My dating experience both in volume and in open minded women still single at age 35-45 may be colored by my living in Manhattan.

I’m at the point that, when a girl has any social media - she’s out.

I dont care if its “jUsT To TaLk tO FriEnDs” i’m not going to fotoshoots and stand half naked on pictures for ‘my friends’ .. i meet up with them or call them.

I dont need the drama in my life anymore and when people pose for a picture with one leg up and exposing 50% of their ass, i just smile, cringe, and get the fuck out of the venue.

I’m about to turn 36. My soon to be ex wife cheated on me and we are in the process of figuring everything out. I know I shouldn’t be thinking about dating yet, that I need to get the divorce over with, work on myself and get past what happened between us two. But after being neglected, hurt, feeling so unwanted and unloved I just want to feel what love feels again. And it scares the shit out of me thinking about dating. I grew up in Europe and have never dated in the US. So I don’t know what to expect, what to do, what are the social cues etc. Another thing that scares me is that all the “good ones” are already taken. Im definitely not a catch myself by any means, but I still have a-lot of love to give and just want to find someone to spend my life with the way my soon to be ex wife promised me.

If women who are seeking the attention of multiple people instantly are “decent” I don’t know wtf is going on.

Look for the ones that don’t post for attention or have locked profiles and actually like their privacy.

The behavior of posting a pic to get ten dms….don’t think you are ever gonna change that need in that person for attention.

without tooting my own horn i'd consider myself a catch. i'm in shape, i'm handsome, i have a great job, no major physical or mental health issues, yet i only get one or two matches a week. granted, my pictures are terrible and i'm bad at online dating, but even when my divorced mom (in her 60s) went on a dating app, she didn't have time to respond to all the messages she was getting daily. online dating is a game. you have to play it correctly. you need to be somewhat aggressive because the girls are getting 20+ messages a day and you have to stand out from the rest. and it's not always about looks because i'm attractive af, it's about being confident, funny, and getting them to engage in a conversation with you. boring things like 'hey what's up' as an opener is likely not going to get a reply because she's got 20 other people messaging her something way more interesting than that. plus , while you'll EVENTUALLY find someone and hook up with them, i hate not meeting someone in person and going from there. I've also been catfished twice now to the point where if I see their profile is just grainy photos that look like they were taken in 2006 by a 2 megapixel camera I won't even bother to reply and I always do video meets before meeting in person
