Men need to understand that them cooking is attractive... It's both a kind and utilitarian function they can fulfill. If the relationship's gotta be transactional like that. Otherwise, it's just a good skill and a nice thing to do for someone. And yeah, there's nothing inherently masculine about working on cars. That's a myth.

a low value person's ego depends so much on the approval of others, interacting with someone whose doesn't is like encountering an alien species.
LVM are used to being the dominant narcissist half who secretly needs the person he's leeching off of and LVW are used to being the submissive depressed half that secretly manipulates the person whose attention she's seeking. It's like opposite waveforms that cancel out into a "stable" but toxic relationship.
High value people, in contrast, are on a different wavelength, and looking to amplify each other. The mindsets are so different it's genuinely difficult for them to understand what you're thinking. To them you seem random and not motivated by anything comprehensible, which is scary and needs to be broken down. The only reason we understand them is because we've been there - many people I've met who had HV parents really don't get people like that at all. Like how healthy people don't understand drug addicts, or privileged people don't understand poverty.
I genuinely think this might be a central component to class stratification.
