Everything with men is projection.

It’s always the ugliest ones who are most critical of our looks. It’s the ones with average to low income/assets who are afraid of gold diggers. It’s the shady cheaters who think we’re not loyal.

Gorgeous men (not that there are many) don’t put down women’s appearances. Rich men don’t worry about women being after their money. When male celebrities or rich businessmen marry young women without a prenup, every Reddit dude with a net worth of under 100K talks about how stupid he is. They’re not usually stupid or blinded by love. They have lawyers. They have handlers. They just don’t care if their new twenty year old wife wants their money because they have more than enough.

Men are actually shockingly easy to figure out. If he suspects you of cheating, it’s because he’s cheating. If he thinks you’re out to use him, it’s because he’s using you. If he’s negging your looks, it’s because he knows you’re out of his league. If he’s cutting down your accomplishments, it’s because he’s insecure about his own. They will always tell you what they’re thinking and what their intentions are because they’ll project it onto you. All you have to do to is listen.

Lmaoooo I love it 😍. This got me to read about who owns what during a marriage, and now I know the 9 US states I should avoid like the fucking plague because of their communal property laws in case I ever get married.

EDIT: since a few asked, the dirty almost dozen of these states are Louisiana, Arizona, California, Texas, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, and Wisconsin.

Reminds me of the skit Ali Wong did about how when she got married to her husband- his parents asked they do a Prenup to SAVE HIM from HER trying to take his money if they filed for divorce later.

So the joke goes that if they were to get divorced he would be fucked because she's the bread winner and it would be his family's fault (and his for being ok with it). Because that was before she became the big comedian she is today. LOL

It's ALWAYS broke dudes who have ever accused me of being a gold digger. I've written on here before about my ex, who six years into our relationship accused me of seeing him as a 'meal ticket' because I asked if he could pay half my share of the rent (on the apartment we shared) for ONE MONTH while I was doing a full time professional course for several months and had no income. We're talking a sum of around £300, which is roughly what this dude spent on drinking with his friends in any given month.

Can you imagine the audacity? I remember just standing there in stunned silence. The dude was 25 and living at home when I met him, with a minimum wage job, and he actually had the audacity to say that to me, after six fucking years.

I used to think my mother was terrible for telling me to date rich men, but now I see she was so fucking right.

Also - I discovered if you offer a HVM a pre-nup before marriage, he'll refuse and say he doesn't think it's necessary (I did this because my spouse had way more money and earning potential than I did).
