This reminds me of a discussion I had on this sub. There was a news story of a man who bought a CHILD sex doll off Amazon but it turned out to be modelled after someone’s actual child and the mother found out and of course a whole shit storm ensued, then in the comments we just got to discussing and I said I thought having sex dolls might save real people, until another lady told me that there are countless studies that show it actually desensitises them and makes them want it more.
And that makes me think of this and how prostitution, which is real women being harmed not dolls, would be just as ‘useful’ as dolls. Obviously unlike dolls they are actually being hurt, but relying on prositutes won’t stop men.

I had a time where I would watch nothing but documentary most of them involved sex and attraction. There's actual documentaries that revolve around pedophilia and how therapists and researchers try to combat it. They mentioned sex dolls and child porn are actually urge pedophiles to attack children.
They even explained how there's pedophiles who catch it early and go to therapy for it. What they gathered from research is that men are attracted to all age ranges. That pedophiles who use the "oh I'm wired that way" is bullshit and men who did therapy have said that's a lie because they can find adults attractive and learn to desexualize younger people.
They even covered a lot. They talked about how these people can learn to live like a normal person. They mentioned getting help as soon as possible.
There was one documentary that covered how young girls will be dressed as adults and act mature to dehumanize them. This is used to make victims seem like they're grown. This documentary is on sex trafficking and grooming. An example is Courtney Stodden.
Courtney was 16 when she married Doug Hutchinson. When you see old pictures of her when she was ages 12-15 she was dressed a normal teen. When she got on a local tv show she was forced to dress more mature.
When she was dating Doug and later married him she was wearing tall heels, faceful of makeup and wearing tiny tight clothes. She got dragged because she was forced to look like an adult when in reality she was groomed.

If prostitution becomes legal it won't be good enough anymore and they'll just look for the next illegal thing. For example if condomless prostitution is still illegal that will become the new market. If condomless is legal, they will want underage. It's a snowball effect, just like with porn we know scrotes are only happy when the acts become more and more depraved.

Prostitutes are targeted for murders because of how sex work puts them into vulnerable positions.
There is a huge problem with truck drivers murdering “Lot lizards” aka truck stop prostitutes and tossing the bodies in other states. While some have been caught, we still have many serial killer truck drivers out there. I say this from a forensics perspective as I used to work in the field.
What needs to happen is to decriminalize sex work itself for the worker (so the sex workers themselves can seek help and not be considered criminals for trying to feed themselves) but criminalise the act of purchasing sex.

You are right. Regardless of whether Prostitution is fully legalized, trafficking is going to exist and men are going to take advantage of the women/children in it. I don't think there is a one-size fits all solution only a "we can try to make it better for most people". Does that mean we should give up on trying to prevent it? Absolutely not! But the mental change needs to occur on the male side of the coin and them outwardly rejecting the "Women as a commodity" stance that a fair amount seem to keep. 80.4 % of violent crime is committed by men, with 97% of gun violence committed by that same sex. 98.9% of forceable rapes (which is rape but this is how they labeled it) are committed by men. (Stats pulled from the F.B.I crime webpage)
Subreddits like this one help women see the bull men will pull to take advantage of women.

I remember watching a documentary on it it was about a year or 2 into disabled people being allowed to use their money for sex.
There was a company of escorts specifically targeted at disabled men. They were specifically trained to help disabled people have sex. They had to be careful and told to lay down and make the customer feel calm and safe. This company worked with therapist.
My problem with it is they shouldn't use sex as a form of behavior control. The company was even looking for women who would be vetted to see if this is something they willingly want to do and not for the money. They charge quite a bit. The excuse from politicians was that it would make disabled people's life "easier" and be more "well behaved" while this company was that it's "benefiting" disabled people and "empowering" both the disabled community and women.
This was years ago. I was a teen but god damn I was pissed about the whole behavior shit. Instead of focusing on sex they need to focus on real issues in the community.
Edit: by real issues I mean actually educating people on how to work with those who have special needs, expand more on what the adult part of their life is, and studies.

I’m not necessarily pro sex work in this situation, but I also admit that I don’t know enough to know a better solution. As someone with a disabled brother I don’t want him to live his life cut off from his sexuality or treated like he shouldn’t be allowed to have a sexual relationship, but I don’t know what the better option is, you know?

I was just commenting on a scientific study and debating how there can be good intentions around a particular kind of sexual work. As someone else pointed out, it’s a problematic solution, and I agree. I’m merely commenting on how things currently are, not how I would like them to be. No one deserves sex from another person. My feelings are only that I wish there was something that would help people without victimizing sex workers.

The only reason men think they “need” sex with a woman is because they are socialized to equate their entire self worth with having sex with women. We are just commodities for men to consume and the man with the most “conquests” is seen as the “winner” or is seen as someone with a high status. If a man can’t get a woman to agree to have sex with him, he sees it as deeply “unfair”. To a man, not having sex with women is like seeing everyone else around him eating beautiful, delicious desserts except him. He sees women in the same way: we are literal objects to consume. We exist solely to define his self worth. The reason women don’t see sex as a basic need is because we are not socialized to equate our self worth with how much sex we have. Women do not desire sex less than men in any meaningful way. We just gain fulfilment in other areas of life; we create our value in other ways.
The fact that countries like The Netherlands has a government that pays for disabled men (technically disabled women, too) to have access to prostitutes is blatant state sanctioned objectification & commodification of women’s bodies.

If I remember correctly it was Canada that tried to make prostitution legal. The belief was that if they made prostitution legal it would minimize sex trafficking considering many former prostitutes were sex trafficked as minors.
Their solution to minimizing STDs was to educate sex workers and give them condoms. The problem was sex workers made more money providing sex without condoms.

I noticed that over sexualization has made women compete and internalized our hatred towards each other. We were taught to hate ourselves. Sexualization played a huge role in racism and sexuality.
Men have us fucked up to the point we treat other women like shit over the smallest thing. They expect women who look a certain way to be hookers or if they're deemed unattractive to take one for the team.
I remember anytime there's a school shooting girls are told to "take one for the team" and date the next potential shooter or suck his dick. Or fix broken men because they're lost and need to be put on the right path but let him fuck you for a minute.
What is this shit? I fucking hate it. Why do we push these narratives onto women and young girls?
I also want to add some of the most disturbing kinks and fetishes come at the expense of women. For example there's the feedism, food squashing fetish, vore, or disable fetish all are a thing to degrade and get off on women. The most disturbing and active fetishes are revolved around anorexia and plastic surgery. A lot of fetishes feed off of insecurities and trauma.
For me it's just mentally fucked up and scary. I have seen some of this crap on public forums or tried to be disguised as innocent content. I'm not gonna lie there were a few that made me physically sick. Women were giving these other women the most shit while men were commenting how hot it was.
