Claiming that there is a fundamental flaw in our policing is not an implication of a crime being committed, we don't need proof to say that some police operations tend to disproportionately affect black males, because there is endless research on it.
You cannot compare a constitutional issue to a criminal one. They are completely different in their scopes.

They're not perfect, and "not perfect" at the scale of the USA is fucking terrible, but in all but perhaps the very worst places they're still a net positive. I have heard of cities disbanding their police forces, but even then they immediately replaced them with a new police force rather than just not having police.

They could do with a hell of a lot of improvement and shouldn't be blindly trusted -- just like you shouldn't go vigilante based on someone making accusations -- but that doesn't mean they shouldn't exist.

You see, i think the phrases 'guilty until proven innocent' and 'innocent until proven guilty' are kinda jarring for me. I may be completely wrong here, so please correct me if i do mess up, but there is such a fine line in between how these two phrases are used. For example, using 'guilty until proven innocent', while allowing for perpetrators to not simply get away from what they have done, also may hinder those that may in fact be innocent. The same goes for the term 'innocent until proven guilty' : it allows those who are innocent from the get go to stay rightly innocent, and it allows those who are guilty to be given fair punishments. However, it also allows those who are guilty to get away if there is no substantial evidence against him/her. Essentially, if the perpetrator hides his/her actions properly, he/she can get off scot free. I believe that we can often have a misconception about how these terms are used, and often base them off our own personal opinions. This could be the same with the justice system, in the sense that these two phrases are used in different situations, and it is hard to accurately depict which situation would go under which statement. Using these two phrases depends on how well evidence is gathered/hidden, and in some cases l, possible bias of the court. But what do yall think? After all, im just a boy with a pea brain.

We had the killing of George Floyd on video. That's pretty good proof. And, we have lots of evidence of other cops treating black males very differently from white ones - including video and eyewitness testimony. And, we have historical records for slavery, Jim Crow, poll taxes, the Oklahoma City massacre, etc.

If we have a rape or assault attempt on video, with 10 eyewitnesses, it's pretty much an open and shut case.
