Speaking from some experience, being cheated on once isn’t a you problem, but cheated on multiple times is, especially more than twice. I felt bad for her having bad luck with love until I also gave him a chance and I noticed he was a very lazy boyfriend when it came to spending time together. and I’ve known him for years prior to giving him the first chance. Throughout the years, knowing him afterwards, He only realizes how bad he fucks up when I left him. I took him back because I thought he learned his lesson but overtime I realize he didn’t change. At that point, I have known him for 16 years. And if he could not figure it out for someone who’s known him for half his life, he wasn’t going to get it and there’s no way he treated previous girls better.

While I heard him go “Woe is me, heartbreak follows me wherever I go “ in his vents, he admits he has a hard time keeping up his social life. Also, he brought up “all the heart breaks I had makes me take longer to commit and its hard for me to say I love you”. That doesn’t sound appealing to most women. The only social skills he seems to have is when he’s a casual friend and knows how to put effort into the first few months of dating. And from his stories, it made me realize he was giving mixed messages and creating situationships, claims he’s trying to focus on work/school as justification for when he’s too busy to go on dates, but but proclaims how much he really cares and how lucky he is to find this woman (love bombing). Suddenly, he sees her with other men. what seems to be happening is that he communicates through his actions that he doesn’t take what they have seriously, so they stop seeing it as something serious and move on. I know women who will date around and not tell their situationship, because why would they? No relationship means no real need for a breakup.

Do I think he could’ve been cheated once? Yes, considering one of the main reasons female cheaters cheat is due to a lack of emotional intimacy. However, I don’t believe that happened the majority of the time. It’s similar to how guys claim they want a fuck buddy, but then get upset when the woman (or other guy) makes it clear their interaction stays casual.  It’s very clear that these guys want the girlfriend experience without giving the boyfriend experience. I did find examples from other posts for what I’m talking about, but I don’t think this sub will allow me to post them.
