Studies show that:

The brains of people with ADHD mature closer to 35, not 25.
less than 20% of adults with ADHD know they have it
women have lower dopamine levels than men
People with ADHD have lower dopamine levels than their NT counterparts
Estrogen impacts dopamine production
Dopamine is necessary for proper executive functioning

So, by your logic:

A. It should be statutory to have sex with any person who has ADHD, before the age of 35

B. Furthermore, using your line of thinking, it should be statutory to have sex with ANY woman under 35 and/or ANY woman in her luteal phase

because some 80% of adults with ADHD are walking around undiagnosed, and she may be one of them
and when she is not in her follicular window, her estrogen may be too low to enable enough dopamine production to use her (potentially not fully developed) prefrontal cortex.

C. On top of that, we should really give people cognitive tests and hormone tests before allowing them to have sex

because some people with other ND dx (ex: ASD) can have what's called "skill scatter" so, while they may appear mature enough to make the decision to have sex, appearances can be deceiving
To be safe, we need to make sure they are socially and emotionally mature enough to understand the choice and impact of said choice, regardless of how skilled or mature they may be in other areas.

Who decides what's on them?
What happens if you don't pass? forced celibacy?
Who is going to enforce your desired outcome?
And what's the punishment for having sex outside your parameters?
Is this an issue only for age gap relationships? Or any/all?
What kind of age gap? 10 years? 5 years? 1?
How did you decide what gap is acceptable?
If a 35-year-old NT person has sex with someone who is ND and 34, should that be illegal?
Why or why not?

People keep calling this rage bait but maybe you haven’t had any age gap relationships. What she’s saying is often said when age gap relationships are brought up, especially if there is large gap and the woman is mid 20s. People will call the man a creep and paint the woman, a full adult, as essentially a child with a still developing brain.

While this is clearly absurd, I think it’s another one of those feminist things that infantilize women and demonize men.

Frankly my parents, both sets of grandparents, and inlaws all had age gap relationships of 6+ years, and they all turned out fine.

I would be ok with that if we just changed the legal age for everything to 25. Alcohol, joining the army, doing porn, etc. We either protect all young people from dumb decisions or we don’t.

I will also say it goes both ways. When I was in college, we lived in an apartment complex with a 39-year-old recently divorced woman named Karen. That was really her name. She was a 5.5 on a good day. Not unattractive but not attractive either. She was predatory going after a bunch of 18 to 20-year-old college athletes living in her building. She always had food, alcohol and weed at her place. She created an environment where you were drunk and she was uber aggressive. When one teammate got caught in the act several of us others admitted to doing the same. Turns out she slept with 9 of us in the first semester and blew three others… in the apartment spa at the same time. As we can see from all of the teachers getting arrested these days… creepy predators are not limited to men. Were we all SA’d by today’s standards… probably.

As a man who was once 18, I feel like the part always left out of this conversation is that young men are as likely if not more likely to emotionally abuse and manipulate young women.

As men get more mature they learn how to have better and more genuine relationships. Of course there will always be men that abuse at any age but that’s a completely separate issue.

The 18-24 age demographic is the most likely to commit violent crimes and they do a lot of the sex offenses.

They are not minors. They are not children that need protection. They are actually who children need to be protected from.

Thousands are in courts and prisons right now. Adult courts and prisons. Where they belong.

It would be disgusting to say of them "Oh no, they're just children. They aren't fully developed! They don't fully understand sex. You can't treat them like adults."
