I’m speaking for both men and women here. Your general desirability is influenced by things you have no control over. For men, being too short, having an unaesthetic face, weak frame, etc. For women, being too tall, having too short breasts, unaesthetic face, etc. Even though, there are different consequences based on your sex, you will experience the world as an undesirable men/woman differently from your desirable counterparts.

Then there are people who have these desirable genetics but are fat (because of laziness) and/or I’ll-mannered.

Though it is your right to reject or accept someone for any reason, rejecting someone for something they can’t control is not equivalent to rejecting them for things they can. The anger that undesirable men and women feel is valid if their undesirability is due to factors outside their natural locus of control (i.e. can’t be fixed without surgery or can’t be fixed at all). If it’s due to factors they can naturally fix, then it’s completely invalid and should be dismissed.

I say this as a guy who’s going to the gym and dieting but still packs a few pounds and has undesirable traits outside of my control.

What do you think?
