I've had three relationships over two years each and I noticed that all three of them would constantly subtly neck and insult me as soon as the honeymoon-phase was over. I used to have a little bit of self-esteem but always felt worse if together with them.

To men, self-esteem is everything and it's the number one factor that makes them attractive.

Could it be that a lot of women, even if not on purpose, drag down your self-esteem to secure the relationship? Making the man less interesting/available to other women?

It's not like I behaved like an idiot or did anything that made me deserve this. But my self-esteem has always slowly declined as the years went by. It got so low at some points I cried in front of my last girlfriend telling her everything about how I feel. I'm not proud about it but she made me feel so miserable because she basically disregarded me a lot. At some point after I felt happy and self-confident after I had spent time with friends she noticed and kind of cynically said "your friends gave you a confidence-boost, huh?". Bringing up a sensitive topic like that is disrespectful as hell. Just be happy for me or leave. It's just one out of many examples.

Being single on the other hand boosts me so strongly it's pathetic. I feel so complete and happy. I'm avoiding LTRs at all costs currently because I don't want to lose this sensation.

Isn't it the right thing for a partner to actually boost the other's self-esteem? I know that Andrew Tate is a weird guy but he also mentioned this and how his girlfriend should be treating him like a king to make him feel valued. And basically confirming my theory here that they often do not on purpose. I only ever hear girls say "treat me like a queen". Honestly, both sounds ridiculous to have these sort of demands, but in it's core a partner should in my opinion be doing this voluntarily without it even being outspoken.

Are my observations valid or am I talking nonsense here?
