"Equal contribution"

Lets get it straight. Obviously money plays one of the biggest roles in our lives and relationships. But somehow a lot of people completely ignore it when they talk that relationships should be built on equal contribution and complain about uneven division of choirs and emotional labor. Which is extremely disingenious. People try to reduce it to 'works hours', and while its understandable that one partner working more hours than the other feels unfair, its used as a deflection to completely ignore talking about financial contribution, which has way bigger impact and what actually matters at the end of the day. 'It takes my partner 4 hours to do the chores around the house , while in the same time I wash one plate. But we spend equal time, so its equal contribution :))))' line of logic is obviously stupid and its insane that people don't call it out all the time when its used for discussing money in relationship. It so weird especially since money is so easily quantifiable and comparable.

NOTE: I'm obviously talking about childless relationships in which people work same hours, divide choirs 50/50 but one partner brings significantly more income to the household, live lifestyle way beyond the means of a lesser income partner, and say they have/strive for equal contribution but don't compensate for unequal money contribution. If you're higher income partner in such relationship and don't care about imbalance — it doesn't change anything about the fact that it exist.
I'm not going to tiptoe around it: its often women who take their partners providing for granted and come up with excuses for it, often misandrist ones, but it definitely happens the other way a lot to. This is deeply ingrained in our culture, a lot of lies, guilt-tripping around, men on their own are often fine splitting everything else except money and being main provider, a lot of people not really care or understand what both contributing equally actually means and feels.

What you want partner with lesser income to do? They can't just bring more money that easily

If they strive for equal relationship, divide choirs equally etc they should at first recognize the money imbalance. After that it depends on their personal situation, but there's definitely ways to reciprocate despite some people might say. Going out of your way to do something EXTRA, to show your partner that you recognize and value their contribution — depending on their love language it might be EXTRA gifts, waking up earlier and cooking breakfast, treating them to massage or even sucking his dick/eating her pussy way more often if they're into it. It shouldn't be hard to come up with ideas how to show appreciation for the person you love and care about. But obviously it should be something extra, because 'i listen to their problems, tell them im proud of them, im patient and understanding teehee' is not even reciprocation and just baseline stuff you should do in your relationship anyway. Another way is TRY TO BRING MORE MONEY. Not to work second jobs, but be more aggressive asking for promotions/actively looking for a better job opportunity/actively learning new skills and qualifications to find a better job. Yes, its might be hard, stressful, it might take getting extra education or spending nights learning something, but should one really expect having an easy time while their partners takes the main financial burden and have the audacity to say they contribute equally? Some might say 'I already do this' while its rarely the case in reality — partner with lesser income is often FINE with leaving the main financial providing to another person and be somewhat passive about trying to make it more equal. It might take time, but if you actually care about finance contribution disbalance and actually try to sort it out it really matters a lot vs just ignoring it and taking it for granted.

That's fine, but don't say you contribute equally to relationship or care about it if your partner is the sole/main provider and you take it for granted, as something to turn a blind eye to. You don't and insane that it needs to be said. Get real

You might say it too much, frame it as 'if you love someone, why would you want them to go through it teehee?' or just out-right don't care about it — but if you actually care about having an relationship based on an equal footing and contributions, with both partners being both competent and an actual PARTNERS, and not one person mostly taking care of another while their pretend to be equal — its the only consistent way to look at it.
