It really depends on if I'm interested in the first place. If so, I recognize RP techniques and often find them to be an amusing form of flirtation. If not, I still recognize the RP techniques and they turn me off further. I'm not so insecure that men can get in my pants using a guidebook unless I was down in the first place.

I am attracted to masculine, dominant, cocky/funny men who take life by the horns. My current boyfriend is all of the above, but he's also what many people on here would call an "SJW", he wants marriage in the future, and he takes great care of me. He would never intentionally try to make me feel anything negative (through negging, dread game), but he knows how and when to treat me like a sex object. He's basically a unicorn. i’ve only dated within friend circles, didn’t do casual, and have no interest in that, require exclusivity, etc... so no, probably not. it may be more successful in other situations/seeking something else, but i’d (rightfully) just think this guy was a dick and/or trying to play some sort of game and (rightfully) decide he wasn’t worth my time.

edit: i think DemonConsulting also sums up some of my feelings/reaction to it in her 2nd paragraph. it doesn't make me feel good, so i wouldn't want to continue it or go any further. it's not as if it would get any better after that, if i've just met the guy.

Honestly, aside from the basic self-improvement and hygeine advice, no. I like to pursue, since my feelings tend to develop slowly and I get creeped out by overt displays of sexuality from strangers. Being the one that chooses means that I get the person I want. I don't feel a need to prove myself to guys who want me to qualify. I've never accepted a cold open, given a stranger my phone number, or had casual sex. When a guy I was dating started to turn into an asshole, I left. Dread doesn't really work on me, I'm cool with open relationships and I don't get jealous if I'm satisfied at home. Withdrawing affection makes me sad, not horny, and would make me withdraw instead of chasing- I have a lot of experience being the higher libido partner, and don't like pressuring my partner into something he's not into. I like guys who aren't freaked out by trying anything, and don't get so wrapped up in their masculinity that they forget that it's fun for both people to take control. Also, I don't want a "provider", because I don't like feeling dependent. I'd prefer to spend only what I can afford myself and not get trapped in a relationship because of finances.

I don't think it would ever occur to my husband to make me jealous on purpose, hurt my feelings on purpose, or act like he's better than me in any way. I don't think he's ever used any 'technique' on me. The man didn't even know how to flirt when we started dating.

There were probably 3 main things that attracted me to my husband:

1) He's not boring. Marriage is a long time, and ideally you don't want to get bored with each other - ever. When we started dating, we'd already been friends for a couple years and over that time, he'd only become more interesting to me, not less.

2) He's attractive to me. He's always worked out, but he's not ripped, he's wiry which is how I like 'em.

3) We're friends. I don't have to guilt him into spending time with me, because he enjoys it. We're both introverted and low-energy, so he doesn't drain my energy like most people do. It's just fun and easy to hang out with him.

My bf is very confident, attractive, and loves to give me a hard time (playfully, of course). Given that I'm pregnant with a second one of his babies, and we've been together over 5 years now... yeah I guess it must have worked. lol.

He's only tangentially aware of "TRP", in an "official" sense. He's just always been very self-assured and cocky, naturally. I think he's actually probably a bit much for most women, but I'm kind of a robo non-feeler, so it works for us.

I hate negging and dread. If done correctly I'll think the guy doesn't like me and I'll give up pursuing him, if done incorrectly I'll see what he's doing and he'll come off as an idiot. Generally all lines I've seen from red pill sounds very cringy to me and I don't like that type of fakely cconfident cocky persona guy. Amused mastery could be okay if he's genuinely smiling and having fun, but if he's putting on an air it's off-putting. Usually what red pill considers witty banter sounds cringy to me. Going sexual too fast is a red flag for me. Being too bulky is a turn off for me.

Well, sure, when you water down trp to the point where almost anything controversial about it is eliminated. I like men who are confident, healthy, and stylish. I like when men express sexual attraction towards me. I’m even guilty of chasing guys who “play hard to get,” much as all women’s dating advice warns against this.

The fellow I am seeing right now is as bp as bp can get, but I think that he is inadvertently dreading me by being kinda shy and withdrawn when we’re not face to face. I know, rationally, that he’s busy and not a big texter to begin with, but he’s constantly got me like “whyyyy aren’t you answering meeee” when we’re apart. It’s fine for now but we’re definitely going to need to talk about that if things get more serious :P

Being attractive pretty much universally works so working out, dressing better and grooming are all great. I specifically like men with muscle and it was pretty much the first thing I noticed about my husband when I first saw him so lifting is definitely something that helps.

Where I am “different“ I guess is that I have/had pretty low self-esteem and zero experience when I started dating - negging is supposed to be used on girls who are pretty full of themselves. If a guy I don't know well said something even remotely negative to me/ gave me a backhanded compliment, I'd just feel the urge to run away, cry and feel shit about myself, not fuck him.

I can also see how confidence, dominance and general “Alpha“ behavior can be very attractive (I especially see it in fictional characters) but guys like that literally scare me in real life. I do like a bit of it in my husband now since I trust him and know him but I'd never even come out of my shell to a person who was that intense from the beginning. That's probably also linked to me not being interested in casual sex at all for the same reasons.

The thing is, AWALT applies but there are different degrees to it. Some women are very confident/ dominant themselves and want/need a man who is similarly high dominance/ “Alpha“, otherwise they get bored. Others like me, need a lot more comfort in a relationship to the point where they trust their partner, more “Beta“ traits if you will. It doesn't change the fact that those Alpha traits are attractive and desirable but they are needed in different doses and at different stages in the relationship depending on the woman.

The thing it most advice on TRP is primarily geared towards (1) low dominance betas who need to increase their Alpha traits - meaning they won't actually turn out as “extreme“ irl as the advice sounds because they are naturally beta anyway. And (2) it is mainly a guide to casual sex. Because of that it is geared specifically towards the hookup scene and women who like casual sex which are pretty much the opposite personality-wise to nerdy shut-ins like me. There is additional LTR advice to be found but because TRP (not RP theory in general but the subreddit) specifically discourages marriages and really attachment to women, it's not exactly advertized as much.

Confidence is really the most important thing. The body type I'm most attracted to is very thin, and height isn't important as long as they are my height or taller ( I'm 5'5"). I don't like it when men are mean to me, but I do like when they are dominant sexually. I'm really attracted to when they are knowledgeable on their favorite subjects, it's a turn on to hear someone talk passionately about something.

Men are the true romantics, and women are incapable of loving men
She's not yours, it's just your turn
Marriage is to be avoided at all costs
It's an acceptable goal to "spin plates"

I would not be interested in someone who held these beliefs.

No. I'd probably mistake teasing or "negging" from someone I don't know well as being rude (I'm bad at reading people), and act accordingly, instead of interpreting it as being flirty or cocky. I'm done with having people be a high priority in my life when I'm a low priority in theirs, so if anyone gives off the impression of not being that interested in spending time with me, I lose interest (so, acting like you don't give a shit will probably ruin your chances). I get extremely pissed when people do not treat me like they would treat an adult, so if I ever got even the slightest hint that someone considered me a child, "like a child", or "the oldest teenager", it would end badly. Same goes for "dread" aka "making your partner jealous": I tend to antagonize people who treat me badly instead of putting more effort into making them like me. Muscular men are not my type, so lifting would turn me off.

Not really. Initial attraction is mostly looks for me (often based on things which he can't simply acquire at the gym), so if he's not attractive all the red pill won't change that.
