Isn't monkey branching when she is afraid to leave the relationship until she has secured someone else?

I don't see attraction to be the major factor in those cases. She is no longer interested in her current BF and is looking for plan B.

I think this idea that women are just going for the next best option is ridiculous. That they’ll leave you because all of a sudden there’s a better provider in the picture. Women, like all humans, love people and form attachments too… and of course value a long committed relationship different than early dating evaluation.

But I do think initially a lot of women do look for men stronger in SOME area or the other. Higher income, better education, more extroverted/social, taller etc. I can’t see many women initially going for someone shorter, less educated, makes less, and is quieter/shyer than them.

I think a natural response to that would be of course, why would she want to partner with someone who doesn’t have their life together and brings her down?? But that is exactly the point. It’s part of the evaluation criteria in a way that it’s not for men.

(No judgement on it… men have equally shallow characteristics)

People often assume that relationships are not simply the existence of variables and how they coincide and relate to other variables such as height, looks, personality and it’s regression in terms with mate selection. However, As long as you are an individual with adequate ambition, drive, self worth, and just a general personality whilst taking care of yourself… Connection with a partner remains paramount here. as other people said, in romantic relationships the complexities of negatives such as trauma, attachment issues, and low self esteem cause problems. However, connection through shared experiences, genuine empathy and intimacy between two people who wish to live and flourish a life with each other cannot be mentioned through the variables I brought up earlier. How your partner makes you feel safe, the look in their eyes as you make love, the hug they gave you when you felt the lowest, will not disappear because someone with larger clavicles and 190cm spawns in.

People die for the ones they love, with no guarantee of passing off offspring or genes in any way. Love is beautiful and unique and incredibly irrational, and thus is one of the many things which make us human

Hypergamy is a pile of bullshit and doesn’t exist as a concept outside of red pill spaces.

Do women prefer men who have their lives together? Yes of course. Will women leave their partners if they turn out to be manchildren who can’t use a vacuum cleaner and can’t hold down a job? Also yes, probably.

The really good news is that neither of the red pill terms hypergamy and monkey branching are real, and you can safely delete them from your brain as anything worth discussing. Hypergamy has been so bastardized that red pillers have repeatedly argued that a woman dating a man who is taller than her counts as hypergamy, and monkey branching is just bullshit conjecture that has no evidence to back it up.

And of all those listed is very right and I think is really well put but you should add kindness to that , which is different than niceness. Niceness is just being agreeable, complimentary, conflict avoidant, polite, often it’s fake where as kindness is of more substance, it’s about really caring about others, helping others, protecting others. It’s doing the right thing even though it may be hard. It requires more strength. Kindness is the action of inner goodness. A good man is a strong man. A man who is so lacking in any strength or courage cannot be considered a good man.

I did the math on the cost of leaving and the cost of staying and stayed as long as it was humanly possible for the sake of my kids. The cost of leaving was losing my kids.
