Denial of sex is a huge red flag for me. If it's a I am actually sick thing, or it happens once every few weeks, then fine. If it is denied to manipulate or change me then she gets the boot. I make that quite clear to the women I date, access to sex is a non negotiable thing for me in a LTR. Setting boundaries is important.

I've never been with a woman who did any of these things. Even my relationships that didn't work out didn't follow this pattern. I can see how some women might act like this, but it seems very simplistic to think that any relationship with a woman will follow this pattern.

Lol, my boyfriend has more stuff at my place than I have at his. He told me in those words that his birthday gift to me was him marking his territory. But a piece of jewellery is so easy to forget (I almost lost an earring while having sex with him in his room once) that this is a ludicrous example.

The exclusivity of a relationship isn't a universal submission to a woman. It's more often the opposite.

Basically a beta-transformation occurs in a mis-balance of giving and getting. If a woman feels she can control her man without sex, the beta-process has begun.

In my opinion, it mainly happens for one of two reasons. Either the woman wasn't really into the guy in the first place, or the guy failed to maintain that attraction by being too supplicating.

There is a natural slide towards provisioning in life as you get older... very few resist it totally. This is true even if you don't have any sort of relationships. I mean lets be blunt, at age 20 sleeping on a friends couch and eating cold three-day old pizza may be acceptable as a regular occurrence so long as other exciting interesting stuff is happening, but not a lot of 40 year olds are happy that way. Most main income earners in their forties are fucking thrilled if their partner takes the $$$$ and turns them into clean linens and healthy meals and well maintained facilities for all who use the house.

It's not inevitable.

But given long enough time it will start happening. Kids catalyze the process in a big way.

The man might be strong enough to resist it, but I think it's more common to gradually succumb to it day by day. It's like boiling frogs.

Given 2 kids and 10-15 years of marriage and I think the results will be visible for the median couple.
