There are plenty of you here who have already posted plenty of theories to why it is good or why it's bad.

One of my theory is that for people to be accepting of highly promiscuous people (especially if they themselves aren't one) would require immense amount of confidence bordering on narcissism. Like do you really think you are so special that despite all of people in his/her past you would be the best of best they would settle for forever?

I mean any relationship would require a leap of faith but the size of leap would only increase with factors like age, responsibilities and their "n" number.

I mean everybody end goal is (hopefully) to be with that one person till the end if thier time. So it only makes sense that they want to take less chances. This in no way means that low count people will not leave you but it's just that they have less chance if doing it that thier others.

This is no epiphany or done brilliant theory , just my perspective on why something is the way it is. There are multiple other way more important factors that go into this but this theory is just one of the sub concious reason for it.
