I think that the typical western woman does want commitment, it's just not at a certain point in her life. I don't know why someone can't want different things at different points in their life. Men ideally don't want to get married young, either. They want to enjoy the polygyny that society actually lets them have and that is part of their imperative before they have to settle down with just one woman and try to have some kind of deep connection and often a family with her.

This comment is seriously overgeneralizing women who are on apps. There are plenty of women who are on dating apps and travel yet are either wanting relationships or who are in relationships.

This stereotype reminds me of the negative stereotype of gamer dudes being evil incels who live in their mothers' basements. People are more complex than that and we learn a lot from meeting different people.

Women who want commitment from a man get married young. Usually before 20. We don't "date", go on apps, travel, or "hook up", or "look for the right guy". We grab a guy, marry him, and stay home to mind our own business.

Well, if this is your lived experience as a woman, then boo ya.

But... young people are getting married later because they need to get uni degrees and careers in place to be able to afford a family.

The only people who get married out of high school now have mullets and live in trailer courts.

The guys in Western culture want entertainment over marriage. And when a girl is really good entertainment, they wanna marry her even if she has mental or other issues.

Or the guys have idealized image of women and complain about not getting those women who are very rare.

I have heard as many young men as women laugh off commitment and marriage in their early 20s as stupid since it's the time when you are supposed to be free and have fun

I think most women want commitment with the right guy, even early on. But many women won't want the type of early commitment that gets in the way of the women building that early career equity that offers them financial security that is independent of their man, unless the guy brings A LOT of cash to the table.

So it's not so much women don't want commitment is that they won't want commitment with YOU. Of course, many of these same women will be willing to commit to guys of that level later on, when their situations have changed. So guys can kind of go lower down the hierarchy of women if they want commitment early, or they can go for the higher end girls when they have aged more. Or they can bring the money and do whatever they want.

People’s brains don’t really finish developing until around 25. I’d advise against marrying anyone under that age just for that reason.

On the contrary, people in their early to mid 20s most likely haven't yet full matured or figured out what they want to do in the long term yet.

Much better to seek those who had gone through their epiphany phase, as those tend to finally have a solid grasp of what they want in life.

This is astonishingly true. If a girl is already 27yo (for example) and not married chances are she is never going to be marriage material because her entire life now has been primed to be single and free from all commitments and she will stay that way the rest of her life.

I have never noticed it before but OP is right. All the women I know who are married and who have stayed married is because they married young.

Tradculture is trash by the way, I don't care for it. Everything in their world is a Binary: Black/White Good/Evil. TradCucks are too simple minded for the comprehension of nuance and cannot fathom human complexity.

But women in all their complexity do fit into those two categories from a man's point of view: She is either entertainment (could be as a friend or a fuckbuddy) or as someone to be taken seriously like family, a close friend, or a wife. To put it colorfully: There are girls you would feel proud to introduce into your family and then there are girls you'd feel embarrassed to be seen with.

The girls on apps, at parties, on trips, in college are what trad people see as “entertainment.” They are not the kind of girls that they get serious with.

Actually, women do want commitment. Or at least commitment from the man's side.

If you had ever had a romantic relationship with a woman you would know that an abundance of questions during the first encounters from the woman all point to wanting commitment.

Women test men out to see what is on offer. If you are honest enough and she is attracted enough, she will accept less. But if she thinks you are having her on or unworthy of her, she will not continue the relationship unless she gets all she can from you.

Women don't realise they do this because it is a natural part of who they are. Experienced men can see it a mile off and know exactly how to deal with it and put the relationship on a more sensible footing.

You’re absolutely right. Here’s the issue though.

Men are so emotional and affection deprived that any morsel of female attention addicts them. It’s like cocaine, they get hooked. Rationally it’s always a bad idea but that drive within them can’t shut down.

This is why post nut clarity is so strong and most of them shouldn’t interact without rubbing one out first. The hormones fucks with their logic
