Men aren't really afraid of women in terms of the physical threat posed. They also seem to be thirstier than women for both sex and romantic relationships. They also seem to have comparatively fewer experiences of being approached, compared to women. Combine these factors together, and it would seem like approaching strange men would be acceptable in men's view pretty much anywhere, be it gyms, supermarkets, on the street, etc. And as much as the man in question might say no due to finding her attractive, he would not be irked by it too much due to a lack of fear.

This seems to be the general sentiment heard around here - that a woman who wants to meet men in person can just go anywhere in public spaces. That she can go to a male dominated spaces/hobbies for the sole purpose of meeting men and she'd do fine. Do you find this accurate? And if you're a man, would you be open to being approached anywhere - what are some exceptions? If you give advice to women who want to meet men, what would you tell them & would talking to random guys in public spaces be a piece of advice from you?
