Statistically speaking: Getting married is financially reckless for wealthy men

Well, there are two reasons I can see why wealthy men would get married:

1) married men with families are respected more in society

2) they can marry other wealthy people and secure more wealth for their descendants

I never really understand this obsession with the relationship behavior of the very wealthy though. It’s not relevant to the majority of us.

You got it all wrong, wealthy men can afford great lawyers to write up great pre-nups. It's poor and average men who are most at risk.

So if a good man has worked hard and earned his way into wealth and
prosperity: why would he ever get married? Even if he wants children and
a family, women have demonstrated that marriage is no longer required
for that as per casual sex statistics and single motherhood statistics.

They type of woman a high value man would want to be the mother of his children is not going to give up her security and have children with a man unwilling to marry her. He cannot bring children into the world without a woman and if he wants me to be the one to do it, we will be married. No matter what, even if a woman eventually goes back to work, birth and postpartum create an extreme level of vulnerability for a woman. If it is not worth it for him to marry me, then I will not bring his children into the world.

Also, impregnating someone and starting a family are VERY different things. Bringing children into the world for the sake of the ability to do so is fucked up and would create a lot of suffering for many people. Our actions have ripple effects. Just because someone can do something absolutely does not mean they should. Weighting your personal entertainment/ego as greater than the live of others is disgusting. Talk about emotional delusion.

Many men (especially those with the forward thinking skills to accumulate wealth) believe in the nuclear family, which marriage was a tool made to protect.

I don't mean to be rude, but is anyone here actually wealthy? There are lots of hypotheticals here that don't match up to reality. Wealthy people generally don't think like this. Marriage provides a lot of intangible benefits.

In fact, the wealthy are more likely to be married than those of lower income groups.

Anecdotally, I was born into an upper class family, and I know upper class people from various ethnic groups. Everyone of marriageable age is dating or married. Plus, the married ones all have more children than the average American does.

Very Wealthy men are not the ones suffering in divorce, prenup or not.

They lose some 0's on monopoly money that wasn't really being used anyway. They may have to deal with the horror of one less holiday home or such.

Lower income wage slaves are the ones who may need to sell the house they live in, may struggle with their jobs, downgrade in quality of life in foods, insurances etc in the worst cases, these effect men and women.

Wealthy men never have these worries.

By the time that level of wealth is a thing marriage for males is about social legitimacy. Thus the male is simply paying a subscription for said social legitimacy.

Of course since real/manosphere men don't understand/recognize said social legitimacy (due to them being hyperrational and based) it's difficult to explain the reasoning behind motivation for marriage in the early 21st century.

It’s weird that the most powerful men still choose to get married. They’re not stupid. They know that they need to build a legacy. I agree the marriage isn’t for poor to average men. I think it would be better if they didn’t get married but I also think they shouldn’t get sex or relationships either. I think that should be reserved for wealthy and powerful men

So the more equal the assets, the less financially risky not getting a prenup is.

Why wouldn't a man (or woman) expect to share the marital wealth 50/50 with his partner? Unless he was lying from their wedding day forward, commitment should mean "commitment."

What type of man is too stupid to realize that even a year away from the job market can be a major negative on his spouse's employability?

What sort of human believes they shouldn't be required support their own children?

What kind of adolescent brain does a person have to have to not understand that even if the marriage fails, there are still responsibilities?

-Women file for 90% of divorces (which is why wealthy women getting married is less reckless for them)

Because...? Men can file if they choose to and there are all sorts of reasons not to choose to.

I suppose it doesn't make much sense if you are very wealthy although being married does provide a lot of benefits. In addition, rich people who have actually earned their wealth are usually good at reading people and I doubt they would marry someone who they felt would cheat or divorce them and take their money. And finally, marrying a woman isn't a decision taken just with the brain. Emotions are rarely governed by logic.

The best way imo is to marry first and then become rich.

And getting divorced is bad for women financially, but they're still initiating most of the divorces because of their evolutionary psychology saying "this isn't good enough".
