I'm 33 male and chose to be single and casually date. I don't want marriage because divorce is expensive and I love my independence. Everyone keeps spreading this myth about being single is bad, but it's complete nonsense. Society pushes this myth that single adults are lonely and miserable. It's not true if it's done purposefully.. I genuinely prefer this. 50% of marriages end in divorce costing 15-30k+ in legal fee's, not counting alimony. That's a financial risk I won't take. Plus I love the freedom of making decisions without consulting someone, traveling when I want, spending my money how I want.

Society and both pills seem to push this narrative that thinks single adults over 30 are "missing something." That’s malarky . I get fulfillment from career, friends, hobbies, casual dating. Why does it all have to come from one relationship? There's a difference between choosing to be alone and feeling lonely.

The benefits are real: financial security, personal growth time, flexibility, dating freedom, peace of mind. No drama, no compromise fatigue. Society needsd to stop saying saying being single is bad. Not everyone's wired for long-term relationships.
