Not really. The desperate males are generally the ones that women don't want in the first place, thus their thirst/simping is irrelevant [so far as inflating women's standards: those males don't qualify regardless of what they do].

Women are not entering into LTRs simply because the traditionalist faction of the patriarchy is no longer as powerful as it used to be, thus now their survival is no longer dependent upon securing a provider type male.

I think something men and you need to understand is that the market is this way by design, it’s a feature not a bug.

Women didn’t decisively “sit out” for things to end this way. It’s their natural behavior to sit out and pick.

Men also didn’t choose to be so thirsty, their natural state and urge is to approach women and try to find a partner.

While it’s on the man to do the work and look and approach women it’s womens job to pick a suitable partner that is good to her and her future kids.

Neither gender can really go against their own biology and psyche. Women aren’t just gonna get naturally more horny and risky just because men aren’t approaching.

The irony of this is that simpy, desperate, thirsty men aren't really the standard - women hate them.

But social media has allowed "influencers" to normalize the behavior such that many women who lack relationship experience think that hot guys should simp for them, in which case they'd find the simping okay.

Then, some men will be willing to do that if she's hot enough once she conveys her interest, because they're convinced they can't do better, and they have low value/low self-esteem.

Which then becomes "evidence" this kind of FDS-brainrot works.

In reality, it's unsustainable, and even the hot man will resent the woman for whom he has to put in simp-levels of effort. Pedestalization eventually builds resentment - either the man drops the act because he thinks he "got" the woman, or she does something that breaks the illusion he has of her that makes her no longer worthy of his pedestalization...either way, it stops.

Meanwhile, healthy relationships operate in balance. Nobody is pedestalized, so it's a process both navigate together as equals. Of course there's attraction, but there's no simpy behavior by the man, and no expectation of simpy behavior from the woman. They do things for each other because they want to, not because they're trying to impress the other or outdo same-sex competition. And they do it proportionally and in balance with one another.

True high value men will say no when asked to simp for a woman, no matter how hot she is.

I think you're too free with the word "top", when you use it like "top 80%" it looses all its meaning, just say 80%.

Anyway, my experience is that men failing because they don't "simp" (meaning put effort) enough. Resentful guys are free not to date, the market then will decide are they valuable for women to change or not.

Seen this play out with my friend, average looking, awkward but good career and home owner. He is in his mid 20s. Starts dating a single mother in her 40s. She happens to break her ankle and can't work and then moves all her kids into his house and he supports her.

The situation feels hopeless. I either have to support a loser of woman or dont date at all, because there will be always be desperate simp willing to support her. Men are stuck in a prisoner dilemma situation. Its the same situation that peasants and miniumum wage workers are stuck in in regards to income.

The only way out is maybe geographic relocation which is one of the reasons I left that city.

I will never understand why the same people who will adamantly defend unregulated capitalism are often the same people who complain that the dating “market“ is cooked and it’s “not fair“.

It’s the exact same as our society as a whole… Those born into our economy with wealth, status and privilege automatically win the game with very little effort required and they are able to make constant mistakes that they will inevitably be forgiven for. Those born into poverty do not have this privilege… they have to work 1000 times harder and make absolutely no mistakes in order to even stay in the game. Same thing applies to the dating market when it comes to good looks.

In capitalism, people want to purchase the highest quality product for the least possible cost and effort. Same with dating.

In capitalism, supply and demand rules. Those who have the products that the masses want get to set the terms. Same with dating.

In capitalism, a lot of people (most people) face a lifetime of hard labor, poverty and debt. They never escape the cycle. It’s a competition, which means there will always be losers. Same with dating.

In capitalism, it almost always doesn’t actually matter how hard you work or how good of a person you are. You could do everything right… Go to school, get a decent job and stay out of trouble and you can still very easily lose the game simply because you hit a string of bad luck or because everyone else ahead of you just happened to be born a few steps ahead than you were. It’s the same in dating in that just because you’re a good person, does not mean you are going to win.

It often shocks me how incapable men seem of being able to draw a parallel between a capitalistic society and the inevitable social/dating styles that come with it.

Any man who claims to be a capitalist and supports our current system as it is, should also feel the exact same way when it comes to his dating life. “Just work harder”.

But for some reason, they all seem to want capitalism in the streets and socialism in the sheets.
