I think this is one of those occasional reminders that while the opportunities of sex work have gotten more common and the internet gives you the impression that it's more accepted, your average actual real life person on the street isn't really much more accepting of any kind of sex work than they were say, ten years ago.

Which I think is a reminder people need to actually listen to. There are a lot of sex workers on PPD who act like it's NBD or trying to downplay the negatives for their own ego. There are also out there in the real world a lot of women who try to get into it without really understanding how being found out doing sex work is basically one of the worst legal(if legal) things you can be caught doing as far as society is concerned. The husbands assertion that she never did anything hardcore and therefore it's all ok is a justification that's never really been bought by anyone.

The reality of the situation is, that if a workplace or school catches wind of this it has a very very serious chance of going badly for everyone involved. The increasing ubiquity of the service doesn't mean people will be more willing to accept it any more than the increasing ubiquity of angry low value men means those men have an easier time dating. It just means the consequences will be more common.

Unfair to the kids, but I can't blame a private catholic school for doing that either.

Also they were making good money, the husband knew. Eyebrow raised towards the husbands for finding that out, too, but it wasn't going to be a thing in another way.

Real talk though, it's shitty since the kids asked for nothing and that's a perfect target painted on their back for bullying, but it's also one of the reasons sexual freedom as it is sold to us is a complete joke.

It's a Catholic school. As far as I care they can do whatever they want. There may be an issue if they violated a contract with the parents but that's it (and I doubt the contract is any issue whatsoever). If the school gets federal funds there may be some issue, but I doubt it.

I'm biased since the Catholic schools I went to growing up handled it differently. They very much had a "save the childrens' souls" mentality. Situations like this would provide all the more reason to want to keep the kids close to the Catholic faith at school since we know they're probably not getting it at home. To speak on the actual reasoning behind the decision, yes, it's entirely normal to consider this woman to be a ho who might spread the contagion of loose morals to the greater group.

Listen. Sex is supposed to be a intimate private thing between two people. It's supposed to be the way you affirm to your lover that you're her "ride or die". It's not normal to want to invite other people in on that either with swinging or cam shows or whatever.

You might rationalize it, well, she's not cheating and having sex with somebody else, or she's just sharing pictures because she wants to feel sexy or whatever.... Look. You gotta look at the subtext.

She might not consciously be aware of that thought, but that's what it is. You can't have people advertising their sexuality out in public like that.
