I'm 32, been with an awesome man for 5 years and we're getting married in June. I used to have a career as a pharmacy tech which I left a couple of years ago to work from home by selling things online. I've always wanted to be a housewife and stay at home mother, and it's finally happening - I'm so excited!

I love sewing - have done quilting, clothing, and some random household things like pillows. I've lost a lot of weight, most of it before meeting my fiancee, with about 40 pounds lost since I met him. In November I started Strong Curves and I'm really enjoying that! When I'm not interneting or doing the important things in life, I have my head in a book.

loving our new home! i've been reading RPW since the start, and started posting a couple of years ago. i took a little hiatus after my LTR went up in flames, but am very happy to be back :)

i'm on the opposite side of the world to most of you, so get a bit thrown out with the time difference. i work in tech at the moment but am transitioning to an online business, which would suit me much better. i love playing the piano, pottery, surfing and am learning about woodwork right now.

i am a couple of months into a relationship with a truly inspiring man and am looking forward to seeing where it goes!

Hi everyone, I'm lazysnakes, I've been with my husband for 11 years and coming up to three years marriage. I came across TRP and RPW after we'd been married for 18 months and it has totally rocked my world.

We had a really tough time for the last five years, my MIL was suffering from really extreme dementia and the only person who could comfort her was my husband. If he wasn't there she was screaming and calling for him. He went above and beyond to take care of her but it was insanely hard. Not at all helped by the attitude of everyone around me which was that he should put me first and leave his mum in a care home (her state was so bad that she would have died really soon in that setting).

I really wanted to respect and support him in 'doing the right thing' and I left my job to help out. The doctors had given her a year and I thought, I can put up with anything for a year, but then it went on and on and we were in a caring bubble where no-one around us could really relate to what we were doing. I got resentful at the pressure on me to help out with something that everybody said I shouldn't be doing. I was jealous of the attention he was giving her. There was a lot of stress anyway around the whole situation and we were arguing fairly frequently with me storming out, as that's what I do (conflict avoidant). One time I even threw my wedding ring on the floor. The shame.

We were having less sex and I found myself having thoughts of guys I had left decades ago. I was like what's the deal with that, those guys are not guys I would ever want to be with IRL, how come I'm having sexual thoughts about them and not my husband?? I was searching for similar situations and came across a post in deadbedrooms where a guy referenced the redpill. I was curious so had a look and was like 'oh this is that misogynistic PUA place I heard rumours about...' lol I spent a while reading and, due to the stress of our situation I could totally emphasise with the anger there, and had to admit a lot of what they were saying was true. The next day or so I saw the link to RPW and clicked through. Wow mind very quickly blown.

I totally started appreciating my husband more and finding ways to actually be supportive which I hadn't understood before (like make sure you look nice - not exactly run of the mill advice for a situation like that). The tips and advice worked like magic basically and pretty much everything you said would happen, did. We stopped arguing and we became very much closer. The whole of last year which was probably the toughest, I think we had one argument, and a couple of disagreements which I forced myself to listen and communicate properly on, not run away from. On the times I was really desparate and struggling I went to the IRC room and got the support and encouragement i couldn't have got anywhere else. Seriously you probably saved my life, or at least my marriage. I'm so so grateful.

Both his parents passed away within a few months of each other at the end of last year, in a pretty dramatic series of events. I managed to just buckle down and get done what needed to be done in terms of practical and emotional support. And the moment she died, I said to myself 'now my real job starts'. It is not easy to get over something like that and he is suffering from some kind of post-traumatic anxiety. Again your tips on how to support and encourage a man have proven invaluable. But I must admit I am struggling a bit right now. The ladies on IRC encouraged me to make a post and I think I will do that. I hope I have /will be able to give a little something back to the community. I promise I am not the kind of person who is always having problems and constant dramas!!

Hi, Pixie here! I am 34 and have been with my husband for 12 years. It is easier to think about how long we have been together than married. I had to count that up on my fingers for the flair! We have a 4 year old daughter and a few pets. I currently work from home and he is a stay at home dad. If it has to do with computers and technology he is all over. I love to craft (currently scrapbooking and quilting) and hiking, and our daughter is all around awesome.

I come from a background where women are expected to be fairly strong vocal people. I am a fairly quiet shy person who hates confirmation but I have a streak of naggy/bitch in me and my husband has bared the brunt of it over the past several years. The best part of our relationship has been that we are totally honest with each other, so he has been open with me about how I make him feel. The problem? I didn't know how to fix it! Then I found RPW and what I read just clicked! It really resonated with how my actions/behavior affects him.

So I have been on my journey since January. He has noticed a change, has commented to me and others about who great things have been, but I still have days where I slide back into my old behaviors. I want to say that there is a broken trust there, but trust isn't the right word. Closeness? Respect? There is a distance between us and when I slip into my old behaviors I can really tell it is widening and I can now tell what behaviors being us closer together. All this growth and work is totally worth getting to have that closeness all the time.

My name is CoochQuarantine or just CQ for short. I am in my 30's and discovered red pill a couple of years ago. That place scared me. More because it exposed some things I was in denial about. However, the longer I stuck around the more I realized how much I needed this in my life and not the echo chamber 'you go girl' attitude most girlfriends give. I also have a 15 year old who I really want to set a good example for and you all have helped me with that too.

I am in a new relationship of 4 months. It is the best relationship I've ever been in and it is so nice that I am in a place where I can nourish it with love instead of unrealistic expectations.

In my free time I am an avid yogi and like to crochet, cook, play piano, learn French, play Words With Friends (ask me for my username if interested), and read.

I can't wait to see what this community has in store for the future.

Woot! Hey y'all. I'm classy_lassy from Texas. I was subscribed to the old sub, but didn't participate much due to the turf wars. I'm really looking forward to this new direction with this subreddit and I hope to be more active in this one! I'm already loving the content being posted in just the few days RPW has been active. A little about me: I'm in an 8 month LTR and head over heels in love with my SO. Ironically, I work in a family law office which just makes me see literally all the ugly things RP talks about come to life. It's good practice though because it reminds me that I don't have to be like my clients! I can't wait to see what everyone has to contribute to this sub in the coming future!

Hi everyone.

I am in my mid 20s, from the UK. I have been with my SO for three years and we live together. I also have a child from a previous relationship when I was younger. I hope that it is okay for me to post here.

I have been lurking for about six months. I was really struggling with putting my SO first, stirring up arguments because of my own insecurities and just generally being controlling.

Reading through all the advice and blog posts has really helped me improve my relationship and show my SO more respect. He really is a fantastic guy. He is funny, sweet, gorgeous and makes me want to be a better person. I'm very aware that I'm incredibly lucky to have him in my life.

I am hoping that what I learn here will help me to be a better partner to him and hopefully a good wife to him one day. I also want to set a good example for my child for what a good relationship looks like. Since finding RPW, I feel like there is definitely a greater sense of harmony in our relationship.

In terms of other interests - I like reading, colouring, cooking and singing (badly, in the shower).

In college, I was fat, unhappy in my relationships and just a generally miserable person. After graduation, I came to realize that I was better than that and started working on being the person that I had been before college, and then even better! I dropped 50 lbs before I met my husband, and another 35 after.

I have been with my SO for almost two years, we met at university in our first year and have been learning and growing together since then! Hey I'm Demon (Consulting) :) 20 years old, long time lurker (~2 years) and as of recent also shy contributor of the RPW community.

I'm engaged to my wonderful fiance whom I have been in a relationship with for a little over 1.5 years - we're planning to get married in July :) (fingers crossed, he's in the Air Force and the Military in general has a habit of spontaneously cancelling other people's plans)

I'm currently transitioning from being an electrical engineering student with additional full time employment to building up a business with my SO (his business idea and support but me doing the main part until he gets done with the military) while doing college courses and certificates on the side that go more into the direction of IT and programming.

This change came from me not being very happy with my previous situation (down to actual depression) which came from the combination of a very stressful employment in a field that I wasn't as passionate about as I had hoped with the additional side effect of me having very little time for myself and my SO who I can only visit for the Weekends. Luckily we found a way together to improve the situation with me still having the opportunity to do college courses and work on nerdy stuff that I actually enjoy with less pressure- and I am already much happier - the whole process of change will continue until we get married and can live together but I'm very positive that the future will continue to be an improvement since we are doing it together. :)

RPW helped me with having the courage to actually make this step and talk to my SO about the whole situation and it turned out great so far so thank you :)

As of hobbies, other than nerdy stuff like programming and electronics, I also really like to sew, crochet, draw and paint which again, I use to make nerdy stuff like cosplay, fanart and fandom plushies ;)

Hi! I'm liftinginthemoment named because I love lifting things (weights mostly) and over the last couple of years I've been making more of an effort to just go with the flow and "live in the moment".

Going with the flow actually took me from Australia, where I was born and bred, to Canada just over a year ago and 9 months ago I met the amazing man I am currently in a (still fairly new) LTR with =) Unfortunately due to his work situation we are currently (as of very recently) doing a distance relationship... I'm actually heading to visit him this weekend but providing all goes well for him there it seems likely that I will once again go with the flow and move countries. Probably wouldn't be for at least a year though due to my own commitments and my current visa situation.

I discovered this sub (well, the original RPW) shortly after meeting him however I realised I already had a lot of the RPW values.

Eyo, I'm KlaiFrai, mid 20s, recently married but together 10 years with my first and only. I enjoy cooking, baking, and gaming (video and tabletop) with my SO, and crafting or hanging out at cutesy tea shops with friends. I also like mech and fighting anime, and metal music.

An overview of my main areas to work on:

I've improved significantly over the years at not focusing on how I'm affected and feel about times when SO finds himself under buckets of stress, and instead focusing on supporting him in the moment and giving him a soft place to recover. As a result, he doesn't stay down long, and bounces back into the fight much more quickly.

I now find myself working on a new manifestation of the same problem. With a slowly-recovering spine injury and some delays to my schooling, I'll be delayed in a career, and I find myself less able to help in most movement/lifting/bending activities. I've found myself getting mopey and lamenting how useless I am and what a burden I must be and how hard it'll be for him to shoulder some stresses that will be added on in a few years. I thought this was me worrying about his feelings, when really I'm making it all about me again. This became apparent when he stopped me and said "Yeah I'll have some burdens to carry, but I'd rather pick up your slack and have you cheer me on, than have you adding the burden of constantly bringing up your inabilities whenever I try to relax."

So yeah, a good wake up call in case I thought I had finished improving that area. I'll likely post an FR in the future on how my fresh attempt goes.

I'm 32, in a new-ish relationship of almost 4 months. I was extremely fortunate that I found RPW before then so I feel like I have a great advantage now. For the first time in my life I feel like I actually understand men, at least a little bit. SO's awesome - we met in martial arts class, he is a 2nd degree black belt and I'm a newbie there. We both work in tech. He owns his home and we're both working on flipping it for profitz and glory.

Before SO I was in a LTR of almost 4 years and we lived together. Had I known what I know now I probably not have been with him because I would have known we weren't romantically compatible (but definitely compatible as friends! Great on paper. Not so much chemistry-wise). Fortunately current SO and I are a great team and I can recognize all the good signs.

For the longest time I didn't want marriage. I was never a girl who dreamed about her wedding day and having kids. Growing up I had so many examples of crappy ones. To me, marriage = no more sex, passion gone, joy gone, everyone gains 50-100lbs and stops caring, life is over, TV is the only hobby, people get nasty and mean to each other and sometimes even abusive. Yeah no thanks to that. But now rpw has truly given me hope that it doesn't have to be like that. I'm carefully vetting my SO and making sure we both want the same things out of life, and am doing my best to make him happy which has been surprisingly easy so far. He's a great leader, teacher, gives me both panty and heart tingles, is wonderful with children, is a hard worker, is great to me, is motivated, and I miss him terribly when he's not around. I'm even becoming ready to have kids (all in my 20s I didn't want any! They all seemed like little terrors that forced you to live in poverty, lol).

When I'm not working I am in martial arts class 3x/week, having fun with SO, playing games (though lately this has taken a back seat to spring cleaning/organizing), light hiking, cooking/baking, and dreaming of having my own garden (I live in an apt now).

I’m Never_Evil :) I can’t say that I completely live up to my username, haha, but morality is a weirdly complex & fascinating system that I enjoy learning about. I found this community about 3 years ago after my first and last Ex introduced me to TRP, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve learned so much over the years because of all of you, and I can’t thank you all enough for the positive changes in my life ^^

I’m 20, Canadian, and still in school, doing my undergrad in Psychology/Neuroscience while snooping around for quality men to date :p If my head isn’t in a textbook, you’ll usually find me being obsessed with oil painting, mindfulness meditation, and/or reading old sci-fi stories.

Hi, I'm Dixie - at least on the internet. I am 27, and my SO is 30. I'm originally from the great state of Texas but relocated to the middle and then the north. I've been in an LTR for almost 3 years with an awesome guy that I actually met here on Reddit almost 6 years ago. He's a Marine and I'm former Army. For fun we ride bikes together and are getting ready to embark on a very interesting teardrop camper build. I also love playing music, shooting, fishing, and swimming. We're also both extremely avid baseball fans of rival teams, so this time of year gets a little weird. :)

I'm a paralegal and I love it. I went to college for music performance and love geeking out on law and music! We have two lovely rescue mutts and hope to someday have some babies. I think I've been a member here for just under a year (I was under another username when I started) and have loved getting to be a part of this community and implementing the principles in my life to make for a more harmonious home.

I am currently single/dating and it is a real adventure. I have been reading RPW for about one year now, and although I rarely post, this sub has been so incredibly helpful for me! I really love the revamp - we are bursting with valuable content now!

Anyways, I am working on a postgrad program and in the meantime becoming the best potential wife I can be. My interests include nutrition and all things "natural" (even if they're a sham, haha), fitness, cooking, arts and crafts, and reading fiction and self-help books! Hello! Please call me Step or Steppie! I am 24, commonlaw married for 6 years. We incorporate a little of Taken in Hand and I study the ideals of Fascinating Womanhood. I did not really have any interest in RP ideas until I happened across this sub. I think I'm a compatible addition to this growing community!

My husband has been a loyal, patient man through some highs and lows in my life. I started taking citalopram at the same time as I started studying Fascinating Womanhood and I can't tell which is having a greater effect but we're giddy like when we first met again.

We do not have any children and I work, but I plan to leave my work after our house is paid off (hopefully before I turn 30). We have very well behaved pets, a 60 lb dog and a 10 pound cat.
