The only thing that Tinder has done for me is to make me so bored and annoyed with online dating, that I feel like my time is better spent actually approaching women. It's way too easy for a woman to go with her cautious instinct and swipe left, or ignore messages after matching. In real life interactions, there is no screen to hide behind - she's going to have to make a real decision about whether to show an interest, or not, or else look like a an immature jerk. Tinder and other "tools" that let you "meet" online, offer little more than a chance for women to behave in that immature fashion that face to face interactions simply won't allow.

I've found failing in real life can make me more effective with tinder matches but, not vice versa. Cold approaching just forces you to put yourself under a microscope. It provides a reality check that forces you to realize what's wrong with your body language, social skills, attitudes toward women, etc.

Tinder forces you to realize what's wrong with your choice of main pic, choice of filters, camera quality, and one sentence bio/caption.

... Now which set of of things do you think you need to focus on if you want to get better with women...?

For quite some time I've told my friends that with Tinder you are limited by the fact that the girls can't see the confident it takes to walk up to a girl in public and ask her out.

I've been using Tinder for almost two years now and gotten quite a lot of sex from it. But now that I've started doing day game I feel that I've wasted my time.

I find Tinder very useful for traveling. Before going on a trip you change your location to your destination. You can rack up some matches and build rapport over Tinder so that when you arrive, you are closer to game-on. Helps for a guy like me who travels a lot for work, so my days are usually busy but my nights are free. No real time to day game and would rather have some dates lined up upon arrival.

I tried Tinder for a while, but I got a grand total of one date with a girl who turned out to be fat. Maybe I'll try again when I get closer to my fitness goals, but until then it's a waste of time if you're not willing to date fat chicks.

Why do you feel you need to make a distinction between tinder and day gaming? They are two totally different things and can practically be done simultaneously. Not sure why you seem to be picking one over the other...

I get more numbers and lays per approach from daygame than I do from Tinder 10 fold easily I think I have swiped maybe 1000 girls now and gotten 100ish matches and 2 lays, daygame maybe done 100 approaches, 10-20 numbers and 2 lays since becoming single

However, I think you are preaching to the converted here. Out there, there's no point telling people this as based on my personal experience, they'd rather feel 'safe' & swipe rather than get out of their comfort zone. Sad but true, that's human nature for you.

I agree tinder doesnt work well in getting the kind of match you want compared to daygame. It does take away the fear of rejection but to me it leaves me without any sense of accomplishment since it seems like I didnt do anything compared to talking to girls in public.

Quick question, how do you open with a random girl you see in public? And do you make your intentions clear from the get go, just casually talk and leave with her number, or ask her out or what exactly? Like however your interaction with the 8 would be a good insight for me if you would help me out.

But it's not mutually exclusive. That's the amazing thing about online dating. You can do both. Spend 20-30 minutes online, then go out and day/night game.

Tinder/OKC/POF/HAPPN are just force multipliers.

I agree. But I've met really atttractive ones on tinder previously as well. It is also great if you're new in town for a week or or a weekend etc. Thus, it's got its uses, outside of the norm.

I'm currently at a loss on why 5-6 does what they do and 8-9 does what they do. 8-9s would get pissed off at me for being too attractive while 5-6s say crazy insecure things to look for me to put them on level plane. So maybe it's b/c you're too attractive, like that video, may be why you don't get 8-9s hit on tinder.

Why not both? Seriously, there's no reason not to day game and social dating app too. My best sex partners have always been day gamers, partly because they see me as more committed -- a comment I ofter hear from Tinder girls is something like "is that what you say to all the girls?" projecting their insecurities, etc.

Your success rate on Tinder isn't really a Tinder fault. It's your fault. If you think you're not getting that many matches it's mainly because your photos suck and might also be because what you wrote on your profile suck. If you are getting matches but aren't getting anything from the girls it's probably because your texting sucks.

You mentioned "i got 1/20 match on every swipe and mostly with 5s and 6s and this was very depressing". Well, why are you even swipping right to 5s and 6s if you find it depressing? I only swipe right to girls who are 7 or higher in my rating because that's the kind of girl I would talk to at a bar or a club.

Lastly, nobody should ever use Tinder as their only option to date girls. You shouldn't stay at home instead of going to a bar or a club because you have Tinder. Tinder is just another tool to get to know new girls that should be used when you have free time. It is a good tool if used wisely.

Overall, I'm glad you got the courage to go out and practice day game, that's a big thing!

I found my gf of the past 2 years on Tinder. She's super awesome and a smoke. I think Tinder is what you make of it. If you use it for sex explicitly than you really can't complain about not meeting quality women. There's no need to exclude it as a viable option. Sure real life is great, but real people are on Tinder and the like as well.

ive never used tinder, only POF. And that was a disaster, pure fat chicks galore. The worst part is that most would not even do one nights!
