Omg it's funny, right? I encouraged an ex of mine (who was a !!decade!! older than me) to go for a new job after he'd been slaving away making peanuts at the same company for years. The ex was an unambitious stoner and terrible with his money. He got a new job, (and doubled his salary) then suddenly decided he wanted to "play the field" and didn't want to settle down. I didn't mind and promptly kicked him out of my apartment.
His company got acquired not long after, laid off almost everyone (including him), and to top it all off he knocked out one of his teeth and couldn't afford to get it fixed for several months. The ladies were lining. up. let me tell you.

oh no. my now bf is 25 and i am 31 we've been friends for a whole year before he asked me out. i never really thought about the age dif and it clearly doesnt bother him.
