So I was watching a video today about Vaush and his misogynistic tendencies towards non-feminist, non-leftist women, and it got me thinking - these ‘male feminists’ are a good display of what toxic masculinity is (given, they’re not entirely masculine and lots of non-feminist men do have toxically masculine traits, but i wanna get specific with this example) - i also want to be clear, when i say ‘male feminists’, im not saying men who identify with feminist values - im more referring to your classic male feminist (tm)

the creator also went on to describe the difference between toxic and healthy masculinity really well - healthy masculinity creates a space of safety for all around them, toxic masculinity does the opposite - this can come in different forms, but i’ll use male feminists as the prime example here.

Male feminists engage in a lot of the same faults a lot of such men face, albeit, in a more spineless, worm-like way. They’ll rage on and threaten women who don’t fit their world view, shame men who cry or show emotion when it doesn’t fit their worldview (ex. making fun of Jordan Peterson for crying), they ultimately still view women as lesser and assert that feminism is their only option (if you’re not a feminist then oppressing you is okay, you’re a pick me, you have low self esteem, etc), and they actively shame women for making the choices they disagree with (women who choose to be homemakers, to be exact)

A lot of this sounds like a bizarro mirror image of what the redpill and your classical misogynist likes to do, though the obvious difference is at least these classical misogynists are honest with themselves and those around them.

So yeah, a clear example of how toxic masculinity works and what it is is displayed perfectly by the behavior and words of male feminists.
