Responding to the whole complaint that “Women care about sexual/physical attraction above all else”. If that’s a legitimate grievance, it’s the current year.

Why do you think this is the complaint? I don't think it is. I think when men complain about women's sexual attraction its usually that they think its too concentrated on a small percentage of men or that women are not up front about it. I don't think men are complaining about the fact that it is considered more important than other factors.

Pursuing an asexual or demisexual partner does not seem like a good strategy to get a partner you have a regular sex life with.

I think you have a disconnect on what kind of relationship many allosexual people want. They want a partner that is willing to jump in bed with only them on a regular basis.

An allosexual may be able to work with a demisexual if they’re meeting their partners emotional needs, and thus getting their sexual needs met in return.

But a sexual relationship between an allosexual and an asexual is likely doomed to fail.

(And you should note I did not gender the partnerships, I did that on purpose)

i really dont know about this but wouldn't asexual women for instance, have the same physical requirements for men? like, yeah, they don't want to have sex but they would want them to look good right? that doesnt changes wheter she feels sexual attraction or not. The guys who dont look good still wouldn't be chosen if they dont attract them or if they look ugly.

There are women out there who don’t feel sexual attraction or only if an emotional bond is formed. Since, apparently, women should appreciate a man who’s kind and respectful above all else. If someone truly wanted a relationship where physical attraction wasn’t important, then those communities might indeed be a better match for them.

This isn't the reason it is a complaint. The reason men bring it up is because women downplay how important it is above other things. Instead of being honest about it from the get go. Since looks are actually more important then what bp tried to make it seem. This is where bp failed men pretending like niceness meant so much, when it barely means anything, if she isn’t already into the man to begin with. So it can’t make most woman interested if there is none to begin with. Niceness can only really add extra points to the attraction. I suppose if the woman is down bad enough it can be of great benefit but that wasn't explained well either, which RP did a good job of instead.

There is a lot I don’t like about this post and I’ll go at why both ways - how it talks about ‘what me should pursue’ and how it stages asexual/demisexual women

So first of all, “men should pursue asexual and demisexual women” is awful advice because a lot of the men complaining are allosexual themselves. This doesn’t actually fix anything for them.

Also, I really don’t like your framing of asexuals and Demisexuals - because ace and Demi people have eyes, we do enjoy looking at hot people, physical attraction could matter to a lot of ace and Demi people as hotness is so much more then “I wanna fuck this person” - attractive people are pleasant to look at. Those who don’t factor in looks at all are very rare and few.

And now for my last paragraph, how about you don’t offload the angry bitter men towards ace and demi women? The issue with this post is, being a demi woman reading this feels like being told “these men are your problem now”

To add to this, personality ends up mattering so much more. Not in the ‘kind and respectful’ kind of way, a boring nice guy can still get dismissed by a Demi or ace woman because guess what? Ace and Demi people still want someone who they might consider fun and exciting and like every human out there, many ace and Demi people will pick someone who they vibe with over someone who’s just ‘kind and respectful’

Like I get it, you’re trying to write a gotchya for these nice guy types, but if you’re gonna do that at least don’t treat ace and demi women as a dumping ground for your rhetorical lay ups
