Is an internal battle lots of guys face. I think lots of men (RP specifically) are battling with the idea of a woman wanting you for “you” but not really stopping to think what makes you “you”. If you’re rich and successful and girl likes you because of that does she like “you” or your riches and success?

Let's back up at least one step, TRP is about heterosexual attraction. To call it anything other than that is to impose a subjective view.

Now, what's "bad" and what's "good" in terms of attraction sounds like moralizing, but it's actually just qualifying based on what attains attraction.

What's "good" in TRP is what you want in the SMP; what will best achieve your goals there.

A gold digger is someone whose primary concern in romantic relationships is the financial security they provide, with a bonus to not having to contribute on this front, or any other for that matter (sometimes, it is their only concern, and if they can get away with giving nothing in return, they will). The reason this is bad/can be bad is because it's like pulling teetch to get these sloths to give you anything you want, and will likely make you pay for it in spiteful ways to get you to stop looking to her for anything.

When it comes to "career women", I think it should be presented in the proper context. If you're dating a career woman, you had better be sure she is not earning more than you, because the constant value placed on her career is going make her attraction to you volatile. Undoubtedly, she will be working around established career men and if you are only make as much or less than her, she will always have higher men to compare you to. Just, generally not a good investment of time, because of hypergamy and the passive dread game works against you in this situation, which will keep you out of your frame, hurt your focus/concentration, etc.

If you look close enough at female nature, no type of woman is a safe bet. It's this hyper critical view that keeps men from developing some misguided sense that they have a unicorn, or that one exists. If everything is bad, but you still have this boner, what then? Well, the implied reaction is that you pick the one you want, but at least you picked that lesser evil knowing what you were getting yourself into, which is lifetimes better off than what society prepares you for.

Now, if you're a female trying to read into this and pick the route that will land you a high quality man, you shouldn't really be looking at TRP's advice for men on how to do this - you'll just go insane and/or get some kind of complex.

If you're wondering what high quality men want, it's to be wanted, appreciated, and given what only women can give them. Sounds easy right? Nope. Inevitably, women fill the space they are given, like water, and when they find an imperfection or a weak point in their man, they press and press until they are forced out through strength of character and the hole is patched - the chink in the armor is reforged - or they erode the man's spirit and he is tortured and defeated daily by the one person he trusted the most.

Women just do this, and TRP gives men the awareness to handle it if it comes up, but they recommend men do not commit their lives to a single woman, because we are only human. No one wants to suffer the constant judgment and daily rebukes of a woman full time, so TRP says have your fun, all women are the same, and you've been warned, so at least if you fuck up, you can rightly blame yourself this time, instead of blaming society or women.

Career women aren't really "bad", it's just that since they have a high status they'll expect a man of higher status. And if you want a SAHM, she probably won't want it. If she downgrade in income and lifestyle to follow his lead, that's fine to me IMO.

Gold diggers are bad, because they're expecting you to sell yourself to them for a cheap product. AFAIK gold diggers aren't exactly the kind of woman who will make your food, clean your house, carry and take care of your children, in exchange of your money, provider and leader ship, gold diggers want you to pay their life for them in exchange of nothing.

But as someone else suggested, don't make the mistake to believe all values are in all RP men all at once.

I'd say that it depends on who is saying that career women are bad, but my guess would be that the reason is because money would be one less thing that she would be with him for.

Dependent relationships are unhealthy and a lot of TRP's tactics seem to be focused on targeting dependent people.

I mean if you just want sex, they're great. But if you want a relationship, spending time together, etc., or marriage and kids, then career-chasing women aren't so good because they're so focused on their career.

I mean, in the abstract I personally would have been happy to be a SAHD, but having seen how disrespectful most high earning women are towards their stay-at-home husbands, this isn't something I'd sign up for.

Golddiggers dont bother me. (Ill make a blanket statement about them and say that they arent probably going to be that smart and I dont feel the need to just have a vacuous piece of arm candy hanging off me)

Women who their #1 focus is their job (over a relationship) arent relationship material for me. I wanted to have kids in my 20s. It wouldnt be that I hate you. You and I have different goals and so we are incompatible. We might be great work friends however.

From what I've gathered, RPs believe:

**Hypergamy is the mechanism that drives women to find male suitors attractive.

**All women will seek to trade up towards a higher earning, or generally more attractive partner than the lower one that they have.

** Should women feel held back by external pressures not to seek to "trade-up", than they would resent their lower earning/ less attractive partner, and their behaviour, in the context of that relationship, would be indicative of that resentment.

**Separation/ Divorce is inevitable due to the reasons stated above.

Another thing that you seem to not have acknowledged is that RP cautions all men from engaging in LTR relationships with women, because they will most likely end in divorce, which are 70% of time initiated by women, and the men will be way more often at a devastating disadvantage either socially , financially and/or emotionally compared to the women.

TLDR: Golddiggers or career women to the RP community will eventually generate the same outcome. All LTRs with either women are to be avoided, because they will most likely end up in separation or divorce initiated by the women in most cases.

A modern "career woman" is often - often - a "cosplayer" who uses her job or enterpreneurship as a bargaining tool without actually being success- and profit-oriented.

If being a gold digger is consistent with your entire view of women as those who are to be provided for, and are to provide other things back in exchange, than not so bad. At least you're honest with yourself and other people.

Career women? I find bright, driven, competitive women attractive, especially, again, with coupled with a consistent world view. Career woman + "Men should pay for me still" = fuck you. I feel like this is a failed attempt at a "gotcha".

I dislike career women because they are overly focused on their careers - climbing the corporate ladder, working long hours, pre-occupied with work even when she's not working. It's almost like she was only given love by her parents when she was high-achieving, and she's forever trying to chase that "high-achieving" high.

As for gold-diggers, they don't love a man; they love his money. She'll bail if you run into financial problems. Her love is transitory and she's not really in love with you; just your money. It's an illusionary relationship.

It's obvious to me that not all women fall into these two categories, so it's a false dichotomy.

People saying that it's different men making these statements - that doesn't even need to be true. I dislike both career women and gold-diggers. Those aren't the only two types of women.

Okay, so it isn't that RP men don't aim for marriage, it's that due to heavy biases in our modern society, marriage is a stupid decision for men.

The problem is that modern women have been taught that dependence on men is a bad thing. The truth is that there is nothing wrong with depending on the opposite sex. Men know this and that is why men still depend on women. In fact, men have always depended on women, not for financial support, but for companionship. Therefore, men can have careers without there being an issue of dependence on women. Women associate careers with independence, they believe that if they have money, they don't need men. I'm not saying every woman in the world, but we can see the statistics. As women gained financial independence, divorce rates started going up.

If you like nice things and have a career, that's great. Just don't expect me to pay the mortgage and the utility bills while you use your money to buy your Chanel handbag and Prada shoes. Once you get married, it is no longer just YOUR money.

A gold digger is someone who looks for a mate based on the amount of money he makes. If you would marry a lawyer who hates his job over an accountant whose love for his job has pushed him to try to obtain his designation because the lawyer makes more money, that makes you a gold digger. If you marry a doctor who you wouldn't have married if he chose to go to a third world country and work basically for free, that makes you a gold digger.

Once children are involved, it is no longer about you or me. It's about them. And if you do make more than me, then yeah, ideally you should continue your career and I should raise the children. The problem with this is that if this happens, then you go off and cheat, and we divorce, our bias legal system will still give you the children. In other words, the legal system doesn't recognize me as a father on the same degree that it recognizes you as a mother. So, in other words, children belong more to women than to men due to the legal system. As a result, until the legal system changes and all bias is removed, women should be the ones to give up their careers for the children. Women who do give up a career to be a SAHM receive her children, men who give up their careers to be a SAHD lose both their career AND their children.
