People in general are not honest about what they want so it's better to get your advice from third party observations about behavior.

It’s hard to get good advice on the internet. There are so many people who are married but miserable and tons more single and bitter. You got people that hack the system to get laid but can’t sustain a relationship. People who settle for the league bellow because it is safe. How is one to know the difference.

Solid advice coming from a male or female will have a solid perspective on some basics of the opposite sexes wants and needs. That’s the advice you need. BUT too much advice on the others wants/needs with no personal boundaries or standards and you are getting advice from a doormat. Like someone else said you are looking for a happy medium.

Being in a solid marriage with a high level partner has taken a lot of work on both our parts. I am no easy guy to be with and she is a little emotional and requires some maintenance. That being said I can tell when a male or female is blowing smoke on here but it would be pretty hard to spot without experience.

Depends which men you ask. A brother or gay male friend will give you advice that will help you as a woman. Usually a straight man who is not family will give you bias towards his team. An older man like a counselor might give solid tips on how to avoid getting used, but it will be trad con advice on how to be a "lady" and not too fast.

Often hear the saying “you can ask a fish how it catch it” or similar when the subject of “getting dating advice on women from women comes up”

A fish doesn't want to be caught and tries to escape fearing for its life... if that's how you approach this all then well yeah...

But what I haven’t seen in discussion is the opposite. How effective do you think asking men dating advice about men?

"dating advice" from random strangers on the internet that don't know you is in general a disaster I feel; hell "dating advice" is a questionable thing in and of itself.

I'm pretty sure most of this "life advice" in general is just something that has was invented by blogs and boob writers to make money: remember that the basic problem with most of this is that it's a case of "success kills clients"; if you have a blog or a book on how to obtain a mate: every success story has no more reason to continue to read your blog or buy the next book you come with... let that sink in. Same with a lot of "life advice" where there is a goal and once reached then that is that.

I prefer to differentiate between “seduction” advice and “relationship” advice. I’ve found that the same sex seem to get a bit lost when advising on the former but their insights when it comes to already established relationships are invaluable.

I find all of it terrible.

hell, a fuckboy player can literally tell a girl "yo i'm just a fuckboy player and i'm just using you for sex and have zero intent to ever marry you" and if she's into him she will just ignore it and then later be like "wahh why won't he marry me?"

TRP attempts to describe the sexual strategies of women and as such it inadvertently contains a lot of advice that might be beneficial to women. It's also an unfiltered glimpse into the psychology of a lot of men, so I think any smart woman who truly studied TRP deeply could gain a lot of insight and develop some dating strategies that would work well.

Men have been telling women the same fucking thing for eons! We aren't hard to please. You could buy a guy a sandwich and he'd be happy for a week. The problem is, women don't like what they're told because it interferes with their fun and hypergamy.

They know guys don't want a reformed slut as a wife, but that's no fun, so they slut it up anyways.

They know we never get compliments or get shown interest often, but they claim to be too scared to make the first move or unwilling.

They know we value loyalty, blunt honesty, effort, and other small stuff but that means fuck all to them.

This shit isn't hard. Women just flat out refuse to listen. They don't give a flying fuck about what we value in a partner, to them, its their way or the highway. So why should any guy give a fuck about what they value in a partner? Lie, cheat, steal, do whatever it takes to get that nut off and once you're done, discard them like an afterthought.

In my experience in asking for advice in relationships between differing sexes, I've seen 2 clear scenarios where advice from the same/different has a better outcome.

Listen to the same sex when you want dating advice. Men (I'm a guy) have a vast array of experience dating different women so they are able to distinguish between the different types of girls they've dated. If I've got relationship advice from one of my female friends, the advice usually is tailored to her own experiences and won't take into account that everyone is different, especially the girl you are/trying to date.

Listen to the opposite sex when you want breakup advice. Men can be jaded by one or more experiences and may give advice the isn't suitable for the person you're splitting with. Women are there for their friends during breakups, so they know how things will affect their friends and also how these girls react to responses/lack of responses, whether they thrive on drama, etc. They may not know the person you're splitting up with very closely, but more often than not they have a friend who is similar to them.

I think men tend to be a bit more realistic about the shallower aspects of their desire. Not much more realistic, but a bit.

I might have had a female friend who I talked to on a regular basis. One night, maybe she wore a tight, clingy shirt and a nice bra. Now I want her. That's it. Looking back at my motivations honestly, I think it's usually that simple. With guys, in general, look really fuckable, and we'll want to fuck you.

"How do I get him to love me forever?" Honestly, for all the guys I know, marriage was a compromise of some kind. Usually it involved them having some experience out in the world, realizing they're not libel to do much better than you, so yeah, probably should marry you. Chris Rock once quipped the most romantic thing a guy can say to you is, "I'm not going anywhere." Because that means, "I thought about going somewhere, realized what that would be, and decided I'd rather stay here with you." You're the best of his options. But if he had the opportunity to could spend his whole life fucking 10s, he probably would be into that instead. Or at least, it would be great to be able to do that, while also having you at home.

As far as love goes, I fell in love with a girl in high school. To this day, I can still see a photo of her and remember. Those eyes, that look, the way she walked...it had fuck all to do with her personality, and getting to know her. In fact, when the love faded and I was less blind to her actual personality, I realized it was shit. So, when it comes to getting a guy to feel that way, my advice is to not give him extra info to screw up his vision of you. He's in love with the vision, and that's incredibly powerful and primal. You're just a person.
