I'm a rising senior right now, but this story talks about the past year that I had with a physics teacher.

So basically, there was a new physics teacher that came into our private school to help out with the workload. She was only here for one year and has since left the school. In the beginning, I noticed that she was very touchy feely towards me and a couple other male students in the class.

I asked to switch out because I was uncomfortable and I gave the reasoning that I didn't like her teaching style. It worked because I had an in with the woman who runs the entire scheduling system, but I never told anybody the real reason until yesterday. When some of my friends in the class, both male and female, asked why I switched, I said that it was because I thought my teacher was sexually harassing me and I was uncomfortable with her advances. The first words out of my female friend's mouth was "What are you, gay?". I was absolutely floored. I wasn't gay. I just didn't like have a 30 something teacher try and rub my shoulders and constantly talk about my body inside and outside the classroom.

She had continued to try and talk to me long after I switched out of her class, but it was still weird whenever I saw her. I just wanted to know why people think that it is okay for men to be sexual harassed in the classroom and when they speak out against it they are considered gay. Does anybody know why?
