Younger women are looking for attractive guys their own age to have fun with. They’re not looking to seriously date older guys with money, at least in the US, and they definitely don’t prefer to have sex with these guys. There are ways for older guys to set up sugaring scenarios, but then these women are just going to have sex with younger men on the side then. Most younger guys just look better to younger women and older guys look better to older women. It’s what studies show and is probably something based in biology. It’s why the average age gap in marriages tends to be just three years.

Most young women aren’t attracted physically to older men, so for them they would have a stronger incentive to date a man for money. A young woman in her prime is not going to date an older man that doesn’t have money.

Speaking as a US woman who got into my longterm casual/FWB relationship when I was 24 and he was 38.

Most young girls aren't sexually attracted to older men, and a substantial amount of them would find a man who is more than 5 years older "gross". They want to date and fuck and hang with men in their own age range, not someone who graduated years before. In their minds, dating or having sex with a dude who is old is something only gold diggers would do, or maybe someone who is really desperate or has severe "daddy issues".

people overestimate how much women are attracted to much older men. Sure 5+ years gaps relationships do happen, but their numbers are not big enough.

I watched a YouTube episode that explains how the Chinese leftover women thingy works. I’ve always been confused why they exist as there is such a huge surplus of men. Turns out in order to marry a man needs to provide. It takes half a lifetime to build up that wealth so it’s not uncommon for matches to have 10-20 year age gaps. These guys usually go for younger women which creates a surplus of unmarried older women.

I’m not Chinese so can’t verify if this is true.

However I think in the west where women have more control of their lives you see less of these age gaps. There is no financial incentive to marry for money as they can earn their own. There is a lack of educated men though and I think these men will be reused by multiple women for having babies.

The age gap thing is never treated honestly on PPD because angry TeRPers weaponized the Wall and female aging as part of their revenge fantasy. Women have responded in kind about male age. It's all personal and political now.

The truth is complex. In some ways, it is easier for men to be attracted to older women than the other way around because men just have lower standards for attraction. Hence the cougar deal. But this doesn't mean men really find these older women satisfactorily attractive as their one an only. Older women are often just a man's only or easiest option at a given time.

On the other hand, it is easier for women to be attracted to older men in a truly monogamous way where the women will be happy with that man as her true and only partner. But this is only true in general and biologically, and a lot depends on the particular man and woman. So this means culture is critically important. And right now, the environment and culture are more against women finding older men attractive than maybe at any point in history. So what the OP says just won't happen.
