3 kids with my ex wife. Got the snip after we split. Best post divorce decision I made. Painless and stress free. Been with my girlfriend now for 3 years. Having more kids never really comes up because the fact that I was snipped was on the table when we started dating.

Legit painless. Balls were a bit sore for afew days. Sure stds were a concern, but I was more concerned about knocking someone up. And honestly I don't want to have anymore kids, I'm convinced my girlfriend is the love of my life and the person I'm meant to be with. I'm grateful that I was snipped before I started dating because it was on the table that more kids was not an option and just made everything easier. I had afew women at the beginning turn me away after they found out I had a vasectomy, but there loss. I'm happier then I've ever been.

Plus, another huge bonus to getting a vasectomy is you never have to stress out about your partner getting pregnant again. Think about it, since you first starting having sex it's always been in the back of your mind. "I hope she gets her period soon, oh fuck the condom broke, I hope she didn't forget to take her pill " etc etc. 20 years of that stress in my life, gone!

I got it after my 2nd was born. For a little discomfort for procedure and recovery I highly recommend it. No regrets unless of course you want to procreate at some point in the future.

I got snipped while married, with the soul intent of preventing pregnancy for my now ex wife.

I'm not looking to get out there and sleep around, but it is a double edged sword. I MIGHT be open to another kid, but that's an expensive option now, so it does eliminate those women who want to have kids, being snipped might be a deal breaker.

Wife wanted a boy first two were girls; as soon as my son came out I hit my urologist. Not going to lie it was painful. Pro-tip buy enough athletic supporters for about a week. The wound grazing against anything can knock you down.

My snip’pinning was an interesting day as it was the day after that I found out the ex was cheating on me. Divorce had been filed before I was in the free and clear to not use a condom. Her loss. I had my fun for a couple of months then found a sex-mate in the woman I’ve been dating for three years now. The ex I’m pretty sure is single and attempting to post ‘thirst trap’ pictures on her social feeds according to my oldest daughter. 🙄 good for her. 😜

To answer your question you should get snipped if you know you’re done wanting kids. It’s tough to go back once it’s done.

I got my snip about 3 years pre divorce about 2 years after the second (or third if you count the wife) dependent was born. No regrets whatsoever. Kaiser made me wait 8-9 weeks from making the appointment and I had to go to a half hour class explaining the procedure and obvious effects of it, and the procedure itself was quick and painless. The worst part was being cold and shriveled for the female nurse (who said don’t even worry I see this all day long), and then the smell of the singed flesh when the doc burned the tubes shut. Extremely in invasive and the very small scar on the bottom of my sack went away in a few months and I can’t even find it anymore. I highly recommend every man who’s sure they’re done breeding to get this procedure.

I got mine after the birth of my second child, I knew I didn't want more.

She wanted to adopt after that, but also complained about being an overworked SAHM so I dunno how she thought another kid would help. Point, she wanted to adopt specifically and herself didn't want another bio. I digress.

The snip itself was no walk in the park. I was out for 5 days. It was the nicest my wife has ever treated me, tbh. I sat on bags of frozen peas and played xbox while high on pain killers, and I was 35 at the time. The older I get the more time I'd budget.

I'm super thankful now. While unprotected with the wife was nice, it's nice now even more. That said, even after the snip you still run the risk of STDs obviously so may find that casuals want you to be protected anyway. That's a good policy but I'll confess to being dumb more often that I should have been.

I got mine 9 years ago. I tried to have it done the day after my youngest was born, but they mad me wait three months so I could help my Ex with the kids. I had it done 3 months to the day.

God am I glad I couldnt have anymore kids with my Ex.

I did it years ago before filing. Had 3 kids before hand. Post sep it’s been great. Might be having more kids in a healthy relationship, trying to figure out how to reverse.

I have. It's insurance and if you find a nice girlfriend that you trust you never need a condom again. It took me an initial consultation which was essentially an interview to make sure I knew what I was doing. The procedure was uncomfortable (imagine a man and woman down at your business pulling, stretching with a knife). Overall it took 15 minutes.

I had mine done after my last kid was born. A day with frozen peas on your balls is not bad. I never did the follow up check like I should have so I plan on making sure I am firing blanks before getting back to the dating life.
