I've been wonderin about this question since yesterday where i overheard a conversation between two female friends/colleagues, during a light social gathering.

Colleague #1 is 27F and likes to go clubbing almost every weekend, which is where she met her FWB. While my interactions with this colleague are certainly friendly, even somewhat flirty at times, i am not interested in her because i know her n-count is astronomical and i'm not into women that go clubbing as a hobby, its just not my style or environment.

Now i didn't eavesdrop, it was a little circle and they were talking and everyone could hear it.

Now apparently her FWB is convinced that she is his girlfriend, while she sees him as a fwb, he wants to constantly know where she is, when she gets home. He and his buddies apparently threatened a guy she knew for even talking to her. Really jealous behaviour.

Now, i obviously don't want any of this stupid drama shit and hopefully i won't have to deal with it in any way. Since we work together tho i obviously can't avoid her and she is in my circle of friends there. They are also apparently planning something for my birthday. Which, since hearing about this psycho shit make me somewhat apprehensive since i don't wanna deal with shit like this. Especially not because of someone i wouldnt see as more than a friendly colleague.

Now all this is just for context to why i even got to this question because it got me thinking.

Obviously in an LTR you need boundaries so the other person doesn't walk all over you. Oftentimes tho this behaviour expresses itself in being aggressive and controlling it seems.

Of course everyone has their insecurities and doesn't want to be cheated on or something, but where is the line between being a doormat and being a psycho?
